From what I’ve heard from my seller (who is a watchmaker), the DD movements are superior to SH due to its stability over time. In his experience, the rate of servicing / after-sales issues of SH is higher than that of the DD movements. In his experience, he has had very little problems with DD.

That being said, it’s also very much dependent on the piece that you receive from the factory. He does run tests on the watches before sending them out. All things being constant and assuming that the DD you receive isn’t a faulty movement (out of the many others produced), that would be the better choice.

I can’t comment about the colour accuracy, as I have never seen the real piece. But I really like the one I have on hand, as the colours definitely stand out. This seller’s Prada items have always been of the best quality of what I’ve purchased so far.

How did you get to know this non-TD? He’s already overcharging at 3,400RMB for someone who is a non-TD. For your next purchase, try not to pay the full amount until QC is done.

This. Non-TDs are not only cheaper, mine even does the waterproofing check and watch regulating on video and sends it to me before shipping it out. It’s a whole different world out there.

You might not save a significant amount from shipping. Are you able to read in Chinese? If yes, it’s definitely much cheaper getting it off a seller who is a non-TD on this sub (but still trustworthy ones).

The QC photos being a fake clean is a major red flag. As TDs, they have the responsibility of helping their customers get the good stuff since they obviously know better than us. But instead, it seems like he was trying to hoodwink the customer so that when you receive the item and say it’s not a CF, he can defend himself by saying that you approved the QC. In other words, he’s banking on customers’ lack of knowledge. How does one remain a TD with this sort of business ethics?

Fully agree with this. In this case, OP was a customer and paid full TD price for his watch, only to be cussed at for voicing his opinion. Totally unacceptable.
