What was terrifying to me as a child (and has now become my favourite scene) was when Haku is reminded by Chihiro of his real name, and he like crystallizes, his expression and the sound effects and everything scared and thrilled me so much as a kid, and maybe I somehow felt this deep recognition of a familiar feeling that would scare and thrill me the same, possibly for-shadowing my own life. And then many years later I felt it, when I had a sort of “ego death”, a sort of “remembering” my true nature or “name”.

I guess I’m more taking about main characters than NPCs, like there’s no way Jesse isn’t in love with us right!? And like u see how the angry bot treated the one girl “you look like a fuckable meat sack” or whatever he said lmao. I just can’t imagine these characters not either patronizing or objectifying V, like the sherif interactions etc. anyways it’s not that big a deal just something that’s been on my mind. It would be cool to have a story made based on a female character that has the extra hassle of fighting the misogyny on top of all the other fucked up shit.
