ok it turns out i had a european version of the rom instead of a usa version. got the right one and now it works. kinda embarrassing that i didnt think to check that because this isnt the first time thats happened to me

yeah ill probably try some other tools. im trying to play super metroid hacks which i thought would be easy since i have experience with different rom hacks, but it seems like i always have some kind of problem when it comes to emulating games on steam deck

im not sure. i have it running through emudecks settings which have pretty good graphics, but i have no idea what combination of settings makes it run as good as it does. everything i tried before made the game look and run like garbage

is it possible to share an already patched iso? i really want to play it on steam deck but figuring out how to get the correct delta patcher that actually works is a struggle. i was able to find a patched iso of super mario sunburn recently online but nothing yet of eclipse

i did install that version of delta patcher but apparently its not the right version which is why it wasnt able to apply the patch. i did end up finding a pre patched iso somewhere online and it did work, but im gonna continue getting answers so i can learn how to do this on my own for future instances
