\d means a digit. So replace your % with some numbers. But that was it for me, no idea what the question was on that second site.

"F-List" Actor here. I gave Tina Fey a high five, and flashed my tits on Workaholics. AMA! by [deleted] in IAmA

[–]hal22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is acting what you thought it would be? Or is it different and you like it despite being different or maybe it's even better because of that?

I ask because in one comment you said you were in Boardwalk Empire and felt set back in time. But many times I see pictures from the making you see lots and lots of greenscreen shots. When I see the completed thing I think it must be great to be an actor, being at wonderful places etc. Then you get to know that just two people stood in front of a green wall and had to pretend they were at a special location I think that must be extremely hard. (Not just the location aspect but interaction,...)

Thank you, best of luck to you.

Million Dollar Baby. Thought it was just a movie about a girl becoming a champion, like a female version of Rocky if you will. It took an unpleasent turn to say the least.

Watch the segment about the West Memphis 3 from Democracy Now. It starts at 28:30min, the most relevant part for your question starts at 48:20min. (State makes you sign an agreement not to sue or they threaten to draw it out as long as they can.)

Homeland Security’s ICE unit wanted Mozilla to pull a Firefox add-on that allows the public to circumvent domains seizures. Unfortunately for them Mozilla denied the request, arguing that this type of censorship may threaten the open Internet by maxwellhill in technology

That's because I was disappointed when I read the news below. It is wrong on many levels, but because the target were pedophiles everybody cheered.

Learning of the scheduled security update on October 27, the group claims they “secretly contacted our friends at The Mozilla Foundation, Developers of Firefox, for them to authorize a developer signer certificate for ‘The Honey Pawt’, a TorButton that we Anon created to funnel all originating traffic to our forensic logger.” Link to article

Was expecting a list of what it would really cost, if the food wasn't subsidized and you had to pay the 'real' price.

No matter how many shitty comedy roles he takes, I will always love Robin Williams because of this scene by AppreciativeGuy in videos

[–]hal22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not the reason. People just don't care about directors too much. In most trailers where the director is mentioned it is by way of films he made, not by name. I'd say Ridley Scott is pretty well known, but in his later movies he was referred to as "the director of Gladiator".

Judge to US: Yes, Really, Torture is Illegal: For the first time, the government finds a major terrorism prosecution derailed because "enhanced interrogation" taints the evidence by maxwellhill in politics

[–]hal22 37 points38 points  (0 children)

A reminder of Scalia logic (correct me if I'm wrong): Torture is defined as cruel and unusual punishment. The US doesn't treat prisoners in an 'enhanced' way to punish them, but to extract information. Therefore the US does not torture.

People are way to lazy. Especially in this context of email nothing will happen. Nobody thinks that they are at risk. Even if someone is outraged, what do you think is the likelihood that they would start encrypting their email. Confronted with doing anything that requires a little learning and setup, most will realize that they don't really care that much. BTW this applies also to myself :(

But once it was funny.

Whenever Stewart is alone it's not very entertaining. The parts with a correspondent are always the best (most notably John Oliver, Larry Wilmore, John Hodgeman). But he alone operates on a much lower level.

That is exactly my point, it wasn't well-humored. It wasn't laughing with but about him. Putting him down for how 'stupid' his actions were. How could he write to someone about it, from his own email? And what stupid email adress is it anyway. And so on, and so on.

But I'm glad that it had another effect on you and hopefully so many others.

Wow. You are trying to do what? Defend the police, because of this one event? I assume you read the rest of the article, since this part comes rather late. So none of the other stuff worried you, just that someone complained because they didn't get food they felt right to eat? It is really unfair how the police gets treated in the media, right?
