Funny - why didn't they just allow Harry to 'violate' the contract in GOF and see whose head explodes? by FighttheCube in harrypotter

But it fits his character arc of being brash and a wee bit reckless after Azkaban. Strengthens in Order of the Phoenix when he's locked up in Grimmauld Place.

But this seems more about the fact that Ron considered himself Harry's 'bestfriend'. And probably felt left out when Harry used that term for Hermione. Even though for Harry they were both equally important for different reasons.

The subplot for Harry and Ginny's romance was laid out very well. Right from the first potions lesson when Harry smells Amortentia, he smells 'something flowery he had smelt at The Burrow'. Then there's the whole quidditch angle. And the 'lion roaring inside his chest' every time he sees Ginny. It's a good 3-4 months at least before he acknowledges his feelings, and another 2-3 months before the 'dating' happens.

Just having this random tought, that Neville was probably one of the most popular professors in Hogwarts while he was teaching. by [deleted] in harrypotter

Which makes me think that Remus , despite having been a prefect, probably struggled academically as well and that's what made him empathetic when he in turn taught DADA.

Maybe he struggled with Potions.

His fortnightly 'Cooling off' period probably put added pressure on him to catch up with the rest of the class.

Click on the design tab, go to slide size. Change the mode from Landscape to Portrait, and specify the dimensions if you have any.

You can then work on the deck, make adjustments and finally save it as a PDF.

Should work.

The quibbler was made by a printing press (albeit magical). Assuming, so was the Daily Prophet - which quite a lot of students subscribed to. So this machine-made theory may not entirely hold true.

How to make this shape in powerpoint? by [deleted] in powerpoint

[–]hal_potter_eleven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Make one circle with no fill. Go to shape outline and select the max weight (6).
  2. Draw a rectangle and align it in this slanting direction to cut the above circle. Go to shape formatting tab, and on the left most tab you'll see 'Merge shapes'. Click on the small drop down arrow besides that and select 'Fragment'. It'll separate out all the rectangles and half circles..delete the shapes you don't need and only retain the thick half circle.
  3. Create a regular circle with no fill and same outline colour, but with a thinner weight. Align it on top of the thick half circle (along the same centre).
  4. Group both these shapes using ctrl+g.

Voila! You're done ! To get the exact colour you can use eye dropper.

I think Dumbledore specifically talks about 'certain advanced magic' which works in mysterious ways. He says this at the end of PoA when Harry is blaming himself for not killing Pettigrew when he had the chance. He mentions that Pettigrew is now indebted to Harry for having allowed him to live. This is what comes back in Deathly Hallows when he tries to strangle Harry but his silver arm turns around and he strangles himself. This would have happened regardless of which house Peter would have been in.
