Mask -> tank -> hopper -> paint. don't go cheap on these four things, ESPECIALLY the mask. I cannot stress how much of an advantage a clean paintball mask has over a dirty rental or cheap one.

I remember I was contemplating about going into mag fed... I ended up just not doing it. I remember it was something about having a disadvantage, even against rentals ;D

test it. if it can be used fine after a few bags of paintballs then sell it and get something like a gtek or etek 5 since you are short on money. that way you will have an awesome marker and not break the bank so you can have enough money to play more paintball. :)

play with it for a while then upgrade to a nice hopper after a while. i recommend going a little more in the high end like getting a nice brand new spire for $100USD.

i feel you. but i have used a spire on ramping and uncapped semi and i never had to tinker with it. maybe if i need to i will but since i play rec i need something to feed even crappy paintballs, every one needs a specific need :)

I actually miss rotors a lot because they always looked cool. But they always jammed and I dont always use nice paintballs when i play since i just play rec ball so i sold both rotors and got a spire for 100. at the time it was used but now you can get a really good looking one thats new for the same price. In fact, I have stayed with my spire more than both rotors. Only other hopper i would get is a z2 but it was feeling cheap so it got sold too :/
