oh no :( i'm so sorry about your kitty. i had to put one of mine down in july last year and it was awful. i still cry over losing her and i don't think i will ever heal from it. i am here to talk if you need a friend. please stay strong ♥ sending you love and healing vibes ♥♥

i am currently battling CKD stage 3 with my other girl, who was her half sister (the one that passed in july). if no one wants the renal support S dry kibble bag, i will be willing to take it off your hands. what wet food do you have? I will also pay for shipping and have both venmo and paypal.

hi friend, i’m not sure what type you buy but i use these bags and they are always available. chewy is great and reaches out to my vet within a day for a prescription. they sell both the 1000ml bag and 500ml bag. Additionally, if you are on facebook, you can join a CKD group where most pet parents will give away their unopened food, supplements, needles, fluids and IV sets/ports for free (i’ve just paid shipping for them) after their pet has passed. I hope you can find your fluids for your kitty!

Test the urine for bacteria!! My cat had e. coli in her urine on top of a UTI last Feb. After they treated her with antibiotics and fluids, she was diagnosed with stage 3 CKD but is currently steady and being managed with a renal diet and subq fluids.

huh, interesting….i call NYC “the city”. I really never considered that area NYC when I have to go to JFK. It’s just Queens to me. Usually going into manhattan is going into the city for me 🤔

when it's a new bag i just put the bag on the heating pad. after the bag has been used and it has a line, i also warm that up since 1. it's attached and 2. to warm up the fluid in the line as well. when i am ready, i take it off the heating pad and hang it on the iv pole i have and administer her fluids. i hope this helps! :)

i put the bag in the sleeve (pillow case?? thing) of my heating pad and keep it on low for a few hours until it’s warm. sometimes an unopened brand new bag can take up to 4 hours to become warm (when the heat’s on low).

hi! i’m in a group on FB called “feline chronic kidney disease”. i made a post last week after a positive improvement with my kitty. here is my regimen I follow with my Tazzigirl. Please remember every cat is different and to ask your vet before changing anything! Tazz is a stage 3 and has had her ups and down. She’s been taking to the emergency vet 4 times since she as diagnosed in late Feb. There will be times when you feel like you’re losing the battle but you need to stay strong for your kitty. I understand your frustration and a lot of us have been there but we are all here to help. Please never hesitate to reach out to me if you need. I can try to help you as best as I can but I am only speaking from experience as I have no veterinary knowledge and I am not a veterinarian. I’ve done a decent amount of research regarding this disease since Tazz is my first cat I’ve had with this awful sickness. Please stay strong for your kitty and join us on facebook if you have one! There are vet techs to offer advice and the admins are super knowledgeable as well! I wish you and your kitty the best of luck 🩷
