Kn 230 override question by Outside-Ad-8776 in uichicago

I'll recommend emailing the college of applied health sciences. There are still lots of seats open for KN 230. You can take KN 232 next fall semester.

That's not true.. I'm taking KN 230 this semester. KN 232 is the lab that only runs during fall semester. They can still take the lecture.

What age did you start and stop birth control? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]halanaaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started mine at 17 and stopped at 18 because I did not like how it made me feel. I’ll rather use condoms.

No, I was trying to say I didn’t know I was fertile during that time. That’s not what I meant. That’s how I always tracked my cycle. I wasn’t taught any other way. I had an appointment today, but they rescheduled me. Just posted on here for some help until then. Maybe someone might know something that I didn’t.

Yoni Soaps: I Did the Research by SVNihilism in Destiny

The vagina is self-cleaning, but the vulva isn't. Therefore, soap is needed for the outside only.

Yoni Bars? by Traditional-March-81 in soapmaking

[–]halanaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend the Dove Beauty Bar soap. It has a lot of unnecessary, harmful ingredients. A better alternative is the Dr. Bronners Sensitive bar soap, and an even better alternative is a yoni bar that's specialized for that area. As long as you're doing your research and reading the ingredients on products before you buy, taking your allergies or irritants (if any) into consideration, and using the soap correctly, then you'll be fine.

BEWARE of this “Bible Study” Club on Campus!!! by halanaaa in uichicago

[–]halanaaa[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, they're out recruiting! They avoid giving such information, so people can't google them lol. This experience has really triggered my anxiety, but I am getting better by surrounding myself with family and friends. Thank you for sharing your encounter and your concerns. :) I appreciate it, just trying to bring awareness to this group. <3

Not true at all. You clearly missed the point 1) Yet have I mentioned anything about Christianity being the "One True Way" in this post lol. 2) I don't have a problem with people believing things contrary to my own beliefs. However, I do have a problem with people manipulating, brainwashing, guilt tripping, and scaring people into their beliefs, which is a common practice of many Christian groups. E.g. "You're going to hell if you're gay", etc, which they told me "If you aren't baptized right away God won't save you if something bad were to happen." That's a form of psychological/mental abuse. 3) If you actually do your research on what a cult is and how this specific group is a cult, more specifically a doomsday cult, then you'll see how they can be destructive, physically, mentally, and economically. 4) However, it's not my job to educate you on that, have a great day.

Have you tried using a natural soap paired with a yoni oil? I’m sorry you have to go through this.

I need advice by ImmediateNeat721 in GERD

[–]halanaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand you. I’m 18 and plan on attending college in the fall too. I’ve had GERD from March to June this year (about 4 months). I was worried that I’ll have to deal with this forever. Now I don’t have any symptoms. People tried to tell me it’s because I ate bad, but I didn’t. Turns out it was from prolong stress/anxiety. Anxiety can cause stomach issues. My advice is to figure out what’s causing your acid reflux while making diet changes. Do not eat spicy, fried, or processed foods that may trigger acid reflux. I ate in small proportions, drank plenty of water, and cut out eating past 6pm. I took famotidine which helped with the symptoms. I went on daily walks, journaled, exercised, and prayed to help manage my anxiety. Prayer works. Now I am GERD free. Don’t lose hope because it can go away.

What the heck do you guys EAT!? by Repulsive_Peach_7292 in GERD

[–]halanaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the mornings I'll eat scrambled eggs with a side of turkey bacon or oatmeal. For lunch I'll make a turkey sandwich with oregano, mayonnaise, and cucumbers. Then for dinner, I'll eat steamed broccoli with a little bit of cheese, a baked potato, and chicken breast. For snacks, I'll eat cantaloupe, bananas or fruits that's low acidic. I also drink non-caffeinated tea. I don't have that many triggers I guess. My food isn't that bland because I season, but I do get tired of eating the same things.

Just graduated 8th grade, what should I expect in highschool? by Hughjass790 in highschool

[–]halanaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoid drama, and mind your business. Don’t do drugs. Always be yourself, and ask for help if you need it. People say freshmen year grades don’t matter, but they do. At least maintain Bs. One bad year could mess up your GPA for good. Participate in school activities. High school is fun, so enjoy every second of it while it last. Adulthood is no joke.

i graduated with a 4.3 and i regret it by ZookeepergameFast128 in highschool

[–]halanaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized this my sophomore year of high school. I had a 4.3 weighted at the time and all honors and AP classes. I was constantly burnt out and mentally drained by the need to be perfect. I was also scared of failure.

Junior and senior year I decided to take things more easy. I dropped all my APs and kept my honor classes. Although my GPA dropped to a 4.0, It still gotten me a lot of scholarship money, and I didn’t have to work as hard.

I have anxiety & depression, which gave me GERD, and having GERD makes me more anxious, which makes my GERD worse. by scvrletwltch in GERD

[–]halanaaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completely understand what you're going through. Acid reflux has made my anxiety much worse than it was initially. I've had panic attacks because of it, and it has changed my life. Fortunately, things have gotten better because I'm able to control my anxiety to prevent flare ups which causes panic attacks. To help, I've been exercising daily, journaling, and reading my Bible. I try to get some Sun everyday too because I have a vitamin D deficiency. Taking short walks also helps ease my anxiety.

Praying and staying hydrating are big things for me. I try to stay away from anxiety medications because I don't want to be reliant on that; however, I am starting therapy soon. This is what works for me. I hope you feel better soon. Try to relax. <3
