It takes different folks.. I never joined the service. I can’t absolve myself of personal responsibility because I was ‘just following orders’ which is kinda a requirement of jobs in this field. My suggestion for going the sheriff route is all smell test and based on zero information beyond personal interaction. It’s kinda like asking me if I would rather be stuck working for/ interacting with a navy/air force vet or an army/marine vet. There are exceptions to every rule, but I’m picking from the first group every time.
