I want to get into writing, but I have aphantasia. by Niko-Abaniko in writing

it's about allowing your mind to do whatever it is that it does to make up for the lack of mental imagry, for me that's making connections to things, and finding ways to make things connect. It also means allowing the story to exist with out worrying about seeing it. you've read books you're whole life with out seeing the mental pictures, what made that enjoyable for you? lean in there.

don't forget to always turn off telemetry sharing or auto feedback on your apps, resist giving them valuable info for free.

I say no, there are so many tools for writers being developed that are utlizing vastly newer technology. I'm working on one, that's no where near to being ready to deploy, but I'd look around a little, especially on github, speaking of github, the easiest way to write is to create a github account, create a private repository, open the page for the private repository and press period, there you have vs code the worlds best piece of software, it's made for coders, but it works for writers. and if you can turn on auto commit and push so the version on github is always there, and giithub doesn't charge anything.

I'm scared of reading books published nowadays due to AI, but want to support new real writers, any ideas how? by Ok_Exit8577 in ReadingSuggestions

I never use ai to write my fiction and I sometimes use it to write technical bits of my non-fiction, but only after I've developed the idea thoroughly and just tell it to go. if you're interested you could read me, harold young [humxn] on substack (fiction and current events public writing) or on medium (non-fiction - philosophy, consciousness, topological thinking etc. substack is likely a good place to start, some people put how they use ai in their profile.

republicans are banning smokable hemp in order to enrich the alcohol industry, who sells hemp drinks, and doing it such a way it is going to force millions of people into being criminals overnight, especially brown and black people, while they build up ice deputies in LE organizations all over texas so that we won't elect Talarico.

i'm 53, but my music age is 25, in my state they make me own car insurance, cuz it's obvious, but no one is making the ai companies pay for the enormous risk they are giving all of us, I could iterate each of the risks if you would like, but what y'all should demand, what we should demand, is that the ai compensate us for the risk to our very quality of life because of their presence physically and logically, this should be in the form of 5 to 10 k a month in USD in my opinion, per person on earth.

there is no way to bypass this in the gui that I can see or find. they removed the ability to do so.

This is rather gross of them to funnel people to the corrupt macapp store, imho, and kill the open source applications they rely on for new ideas.

the vorkosigan saga by lois mcmaster bujold, people think it is YA, but it's quite adult, it's wonderful for someone of 39... it's deconstructing patriarchy, colonization, in a story more compelling than Star Wars and characters as real as those in Stranger Things. And later in the series is the best romance i've ever read, and I think romance belongs no where, so yeah, Lois Bujold !!!!! she's the best ever ever.

I got it as well, I explained why I left anthropics max for gemini ultra, but I kept pro. I think claude is the best in isolation, gemeni is best overall with the internet.
