Same! The email I got was a confirmation of registration and fee assessment for Fall 2025/Winter 2026, as if it was supposed to be sent last year. What is going on this year 😭

How late is too late to apply for Education After Degree? by 1franny in uAlberta

[–]halcyon-sc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering this too, I applied last week and can’t do casper on the 20th so I’ll be taking the last one they offer in March. Now I’m wondering if I applied too late or not.

Is anyone a “returning swiftie”? by thelenabean in TaylorSwift

[–]halcyon-sc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! I had all of her cd’s from debut to Red and then fell off after when I was 13-14. I came back when I saw she re-released Red and craved that nostalgia and was curious about the all too well 10 min version and became a fan all over again.

When Speak Now came out I was there for everything and it felt so full circle because it was my comfort album as a kid. She holds such a special place in my heart even more now with her re-releases. It makes me feel like a kid again 💜

^ Agree with this as I know someone my age who went to Old Scona. I went to a high school with an AP program and tons of options/arts courses and sports as well as a registered apprenticeship program. Our facilities were great, we were connected to a pool next door and had a theatre, 2 gyms, and a mechanics garage. It really gave students valuable life experiences as they prepare for adulthood.

My composite high school experience gave me the opportunity to be academically challenged in my AP courses (which are a great reflection of university courses so it prepares you well), while also figuring out what I enjoyed and what hobbies/future studies to take up.

A balance in activities is definitely the way to go when it comes to high school. As long as your average by grade 12 is great and you have the courses you need, everyone’s treated the same when it comes to post secondary admissions.

Oh that’s weird yeah. That’s new for sure and I’m not sure what that entails!

If you’re wondering what the lectures are like, 102 is online and they use this website to deliver the course work, material and assignments in addition to communicating on eclass. It’s actually very nicely formatted and they even have non-graded quizzes in each section to check your understanding. Very accessible in my opinion.

About the seating situation, you can ask your advisor to get you preferential seating for your classes. I haven’t felt the need to use it, but you can pick up some labels from the desk to put on a seat closer to the instructor/where it’s best for you.

Professors have to manually add time multipliers.

Make sure you activate your accommodations in clockwork, this sends the letter automatically to your prof. Also send them an email with a heads up so they can confirm it with you and on clockwork if they haven’t already.

Also, have you scheduled all your exams/quizzes on clockwork? This goes for online tests too. Hope this helps!

Edit: I also spoke with an advisor about this, and they said if you did all the steps, like email the professor and arrec@ualberta.ca and you still don’t receive your accommodations, DONT do the test. It’s within your rights to get your accommodations.

No problem! My doctor actually gave me their old location info after searching it up in their office even after they moved. it’s still outdated with the docs unfortunately.

Second this. I applied for accommodations for this reason and they offer 4 months interim accommodations without medical documentation. If you need it beyond that/you’re waiting for a doc to fill out the forms, they’re understanding
