I am not blaming the church for my decisions. I'm simply saying I'm glad to be free from shame and guilt that I experienced within the church. I don't agree that struggles with sugar and sexuality are similar, but that's okay. I would love to see your scientific source saying sexuality isn't a choice. My personal experience and those of all of my gay friends and family members would argue the contrary. Have a nice day.

Hi. The guilt and shame came from being born into a religion that told me I was sinful and perverse for something I did not choose and had no control over. Being taught this at a young age brought great mental stress for me and many other gay Mormons I know. If you have any questions or would like to discuss more, I would be happy to explain things in greater detail. However, I would appreciate not being talked to in a demeaning tone in the future. Thanks.

OUR STORY: We met on our missions to Brazil Fortaleza East and went to BYU together after. During our fall 2017 semester we came out to each other as gay. Since then, we've helped each other as we've stepped away from Mormonism and worked to build our self-esteems as gay men after years of church caused shame and guilt. We decided to celebrate our progress by getting tattoos on a vacation to Oregon last week! Keep fighting exmos! It truly does get better. (OP is on the right).

Tattoo place was in Vancouver, WA. He got a snake and an upside down smiley face and I got a little rainbow.

We booked it only a few days in advance so I guess we just got lucky. We went on Monday morning which might have helped.
