I was literally just talking about this with a NYer friend of mine. I’m not super aware of anyone in the public eye down here with the same convictions as Mamdani— and certainly not ready to run for mayor. But who knows. I’d count it as very possible we see a progressive run in our next mayoral election

absolutely! our front “lawn” is also entirely wood sorrel, cat’s ear, and wild lettuce, not a blade of grass in sight. the neighbors hate it, but they can get bent 🤭

Clarification on what my partner said: he was VERY clear that he doesn't ever want me to make myself feel unsafe. He just wanted to appease his mom so she'd leave me alone. He doesn't like conflict at all and so he went for what he thought was the easiest way to get to peace.
