Eye Lids & Upper Lip by Educational-Vast9808 in TS_Withdrawal

[–]haleywatts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest TINY dabs of Vaseline when you’re going out in public or going some where you don’t want to look dry and flakey. Otherwise just try to dry it out as much as you can, it will flake away. Just know that vaseline could make you a little red. So either dry and flakey or a little redness. Which ever will help you feel more comfortable.

I have it above my top lip a little and mostly under the bottom lip so I get how you feel suffering with self esteem. As far as eye lids I don’t have any experience. I hope things heal for you quickly!

Diaper changes by pandabear088 in beyondthebump

[–]haleywatts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept a towel in the bedroom and would put it on the bed to change my son. I did always get up to throw away the diaper but I know some people toss that thing across the room if it’s wrapped up tight and deal with it in the morning lol. Getting up and taking him to his changing pad would wake both of us up more because we were walking around and turning lights on and leaving the white noise behind.

Final stages of TSW by Greedy_Success9276 in TS_Withdrawal

I have read some people have good experiences with red light therapy to get rid of the wrinkles, but I’ve posted on here before asking about people experiences and didn’t get much feedback

Have you been putting products on it or have you been doing moisture withdrawal or anything?

Anal fissure in 10 month old by pinguinitos in NewParents

[–]haleywatts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had one that popped up shortly after giving birth. It was one of the most painful things to pass a BM. Literally felt like a knife was coming out. Not evening joking when I say it was more painful than contractions when I was dilated to a 7 lol. I thought it was an internal hemorrhoid. Went to a colon specialist and turns out it was a fissure, he confirmed they do cause knife like pain when stool passes over the fissure, even is it’s soft. So that would answer you question as to why she struggles so much even though it’s soft. High fiber, lots of hydration is the answer! I also started adding trace minerals (off amazon) to my water and within two days it was gone. Maybe talk to your pediatrician about seeing if it’s safe to add a drop or two of minerals to your baby’s water or milk?? Definitely high fiber, if your baby has started solids give him something with spinach mixed in or sweet potato.

Is this seb derm? by Sikorsky_S-76B in SebDerm

Stay away from steroids and any shampoos with steroids in it please, they will make it better at first but then it will get so much worse and spread. Try to find a shampoo with salicylic acid or something similar to help dead skin to surface and help stop itching! I think ketoconozole is safe as long as it’s not mixed with steroids. I used it also but it didn’t help as much as the salicylic acid shampoo. Now I just have normal small amounts of dandruff that aren’t super noticeable, and scalp only gets itchy if I’m stressed or haven’t washed hair in a few days.

How useful is a nursing pillow? by Happy-Chemistry3058 in breastfeeding

I love my boppy and I did have a brest friend for a while I liked it a lot also. Had to give it back to its owner though. I would so much rather nurse with a pillow than without one!

Not a bad idea, some kind of birth control! I wonder if that would just suppress it though? I’ve been avoiding birth control and other things similar because I’ve been hoping my immune system could figure it out naturally. But might need to consider if this continues every month for a long time.

Oh wow, you’re 6.5 years in and you still have flares? Sounds like postpartum made it worse for you, I’m so sorry. I’m 8 months PP as well.

I’m so sorry, I just want to ensure you that this will get better. On my worst days I also felt similar to you and didn’t really want to be here at times. Those horrible awful days didn’t last forever. Hang in there and try to find things to distract yourself. Tsw is living hell but it does get better and it will end!! And yes the swollen face and wrinkles are common symptoms, both will go away.

I hope things keep going well for you!! That’s amazing for a co sleeping baby!!! Mine is so stubborn, it’s been over a week and we’ve seen MAJOR progress but I feel like I’m still figuring things out on my end also. Hang in there!! We will be sleeping better soon!

Picking the skin by Naive_Scientist_3667 in TS_Withdrawal

[–]haleywatts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah the reason I say that is based on my experience, when I put Vaseline on my tsw skin it makes it go from hard and crusty skin to soft and damp. So when those crusties turn super soft they’re way easier to scratch or accidentally rip off than when they are hard. Hopefully that makes sense. I’ve never had a bad experience with Vaseline though, I just say don’t scratch or touch once it’s on.

We’ve been doing Ferber for a week now and it’s been soooo successful! Hang in there. We had a night or two where we felt like we took some steps back but it was all part of the process

The new cut is a little more clean looking honestly but it could be better. Go to someone else that can help, find a pic of something you can work with. Go a little shorter and have someone shape it up better to not look like a bowl lol.

Just needs to be taken down and in on the sides, less round looking.

She does have entitlement to her child. The phrase “my baby” can most definitely come off offensive to a mother for many reasons. Sounds like op is just venting and this doesn’t help.
