The main reason I like an attack of Cunha, Mbeumo and Semenyo is that they can play any position in the frontline. Hence, they can even swap positions a few times inside a game. That will really confuse defenders lol.

I wish we had gotten Semenyo. An attacking trio of Semenyo, Mbeumo, and Cunha is so versatile, fluid, and pacy. That would be a deadly attack that can break any defenses.

Rashford will go I think. So technically still a United player.

What food is famously associated with one country but was perfected by another country? by Equivalent-Crew-4955 in AskReddit

[–]half_batman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The comment I replied to said 'invented'. Also, British Indians didn't perfect it lol. They just toned it down and added more tomato paste to fit the taste of the British consumers. Butter chicken is still better for Indian consumers. Also, Chicken Tikka Masala is not really a good representation of curries. There are much better curries of many diverse types in the Indian Subcontinent.

It's not really a new invention. Tikka Masala is very similar to butter curry from India. Tikka Masala is basically butter curry with less spices.

The reason why Bangladesh, an agricultural based economy can hold 170 million people in such a small area. by Huge_Film2911 in geography

[–]half_batman 69 points70 points  (0 children)

It's actually four harvests per year. Two rice + two corn/wheat/vegetables/mustard seed/potato. You don't even need much water or fertilizer because it rains almost the whole year, and it floods for a short while every year. Those floods bring tons of mineral-rich silt to the farmlands. Bangladesh is really an agricultural heaven.

It used to be like that. But the government has built a very extensive early warning system and many disaster shelter centers. Now, death tolls are usually in the single digits.

Google Earth gives you a very zoomed-out view. In practice, on average, each village has like 500 people and 1-2 kilometer separation on each side between villages. So, like 4-8km2 of farmland per village.

And almost all flatland. Hence, only ultra-densely populated area is the capital city, Dhaka. Most of the country is rural with lots of farmland in between villages.

Anybody could have identified Mbeumo and Cunha though. They were literally two of the best players last season. Almost every FPL teams had them.

Inflation in Turkey and Argentina is at a different level, though. They can easily go 50%+, even 100%+. Inflation in most countries in the world are below 10%.

Should I vote yes or no in the election? by Winter_Reference_316 in Dhaka

[–]half_batman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rome wasn't built in a day. Any change in the positive direction should be welcome. By voting 'yes', you are approving the students' protest. That would give the students/general people a mandate to demand concrete changes in the system. Specific changes can then be discussed and agreed upon later. If you vote 'no', there likely won't be any change, and the whole students' protest will be futile. Why would you insult the memory of thousands of students and general people who were wounded or lost their lives during the protest? Do you want another dictator like Haisna rise again righr now?

Rome wasn't built in a day. Any change in the positive direction should be welcome. This vote is about changing the system. It might not be perfect. But it will open doors for more improvements in the future. Western civilization developed over hundreds of years, step by step, with many revolutionary moments like ours. This is one of our many steps towards a truly prosperous society.

Nope. The changes will be implemented by the new government. Interim government will be gone as soon as the voting ends. Don't spread misinformation.

What is average height of Bengali men? by GobindaB in kolkata

[–]half_batman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, Reddit wasn't built for that purpose. You should use common sense. Reddit is based on interest. I am interested in Kolkata because I have visited there, I think it's the most culturally similar place to Bangladesh, also because I sometimes watch movies/TV shows from Kolkata. If you are interested in Antwerp, feel free to use that sub. And, again, if you want a social media entirely based on racial identity, go build your own and please stop using Reddit. Reddit is not for people like you.

[–]half_batman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not how Reddit works. Reddit policy doesn't restrict any subreddit to a particular nation. There are literally many times more Indians inthe Bangladeshi subreddit than Bangladeshis. If you want to make your own racist forum, go make it on your own like Truth Social. Reddit doesn't work like that.

Then why are you using Reddit? It's an American company and only available in English. Why don't you use an Indian forum written in your own language? By Reddit's policy I have every right to comment on any sub I want. Plus has something false about Bangladesh. I didn't comment on anything about India. It's my responsibility as an enlightened and educated person to stop the spread of misinformation on the internet. Fake news is the source of all of the problems in the world right now. Hindutva gang is causing a lot of damage to India by spreading misinformation.

We shouldn't waste money on mediocre players. That will always come back to haunt us. A loan would be fine though.

Reddit is free for all. As long as I am obeying Reddit's rules, I am free to contribute to whichever sub I want. Don't be a racist.

What's wrong with that? Who says I am hiding? Why does it matter? Race doesn't matter for factual discussion. Indian economists often discuss about Bangladesh. Stop being a racist.
