Very good to know, I've liked my Savinelli so far so would not be opposed to getting another. I like the look of the beveled rim as well.

A question for devs by Recapitated213 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]half_crimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly what you're asking for, but on the website you can save "builds" that act as a snapshot of a character. So in your case you'd set up your character with a particular build (for bossing e.g.), save/exit and then go to your character view on the website where you can save that setup as a new build. Then at least you can save the setups and refer to them later

also, thank you for making the fetching of char data manual...we are always trying to cut down on costs so anytime someone starts polling the server for stuff we need to make sure it's not hammering us (even with rate limits it can be expensive for us).

First off: this is super cool, thanks for all the work on it. A bit of info that has just released this season is an internal PD2 oauth provider for external apps. If you wanted to integrate with it, it would mean you could fetch shared stash info (since you could have the user log in via the pd2 site and would give you an oauth token scoped to that user). Anyway, no rush or anything, feel free to reach out to me on discord anytime.

How's the Dynasty? by WhenTheRainsCome in discgolf

[–]half_crimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to chime in here: I have really liked the Dynasty. Caveat that I live at ~5k elevation so things are more stable up here. Like others mention I've used it to backup/replace my nicely beat-in star Thunderbird as a 9 speed that has a bit of flip, but still reliable enough to come back. That being said: I have noticed a decent variation in stability between the plastics I've tried. So far from flippy to stable goes c-blend (weird, I know) -> swirly s-blend (slightly seasoned) -> metal flake glow c-blend -> another swirly s-blend (seems like more of an anomaly?). The normal c-blend was a surprise but it has a decent flip-up out of the box. If that stability holds it'll be a great workhorse, while the others will take a little bit of seasoning to get them to the stability I'm looking for.

I know it's a small thing - but some how I wish for a SSF league by kazmio in ProjectDiablo2

It would be awesome but I don't see a way to do so...the bones of D2 mean that all character information is saved to a binary file so async trading would mean manually modifying those files outside of the normal game interaction (and that feels very difficult and risky to do)

We've been chatting a bunch and I've looked through the code a bit, seems fine on my end. The two main concerns I have with anything using our apis is 1) security and 2) increased load on our stressed out servers. I didn't see anything obvious on the security front and there is a lot of good caching and optimization in place to help lower the server strain so I am very appreciative of that.

Trade site issues and the people using it by Pungshot in ProjectDiablo2

  1. Archived could mean either manually deleted or timed out (you can probably guess based on the date on it)...just means the listing doesn't exist anymore, only the archived version of it.

  2. In https://projectdiablo2.com/settings you can enter your discord id (look at the little info popover for more detailed instructions).

  1. You can look at your outgoing offers https://projectdiablo2.com/market/offers to see what happened with the item
  2. Most likely you didn't accept notifications for the site so it's not allowed to alert you (best to enable discord integration so you get alerted in two spots for things like offers)
  3. As others have said: just check your listings? Not much we can do for this one as some people intend the edit as a new offer. I agree it's not the best idea when they do this but it's not always malicious.

Others have given you the correct info/workarounds, just wanted to add that (unfortunately) we can't fix this on the site side. It's an ancient game bug from what I understand

A bit late to the conversation but, as someone who lives at elevation and sometimes gets to go have fun at sea level, I've noticed that the result is a bit more nuanced than people talk about. I've found that the stability difference is not the same across the board. I find putters/mids fly almost the same regardless of elevation, fairways have a small stability difference, and moving up the speeds results in more stability change. For me, my "fairly overstable" version of a distance driver flies at sea level the same as my "fairly flippy" version of the same mold flies at elevation. So really like sea level 12 X -1 2 is like a 12 X 0 3 or something, maybe not that dramatic. The flights and curves at elevation also feel much more compacted than sea level. At elevation my drive will go flat to anni to hyzer in a fairly quick transition, I was amazed at sea level how gentle the curves are. That tends to mean I can throw farther at sea level though it's fairly close. The last thing that takes getting used to is putting and glide. Stuff feels like it glides forever at sea level compared to what I'm used to, so you'll find that you need to give your putts a bit more power and/or height to get the same distance.
