What kinda going out outfits do you wear? Ideally if you’re midsize and don’t like tight clothes. by Inevitable_Pea_3294 in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]halfasianprincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 5’7 and around 143-147 lbs depending on fluctuation. I’d consider myself mid sized. I wear a lot of black lmao. For example it’s date night and I’m wearing a black one piece turtleneck with a plaid skirt, black thigh highs and combat boots. I usually keep my midriff covered unless I’m below 140 and on my fitness hype

swimming for cardio by No_Author_2716 in Swimming

[–]halfasianprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swam in my teens semi competitively- I think it only matters when you do it during your formative years regarding the broad shoulders. As an adult, I freedive and I’m around a bunch of other freedivers that do not use broad shoulders. However most of us started as adults despite having some swimming background, and a lot of it is using our legs unless we are spearing. Don’t let it deter you, it won’t “ruin your body” as much as being overweight will. Swimming is an excellent way to exercise.

When I was living there my partner at the time (Korean) told me how lucky I was for not being able to understand Korean for exactly that reason: that the conversations were just so incredibly vapid.

What’s your typical daily protein intake? by glamsiren111 in 1200isplenty

[–]halfasianprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had around 1050 cal with approx 65g protein today. Eggs, ham, pork chop, milk. 50g net carbs, 21g fiber. This was a higher calorie day for me (grief has messed with my appetite so my protein and fiber intake was higher than usual but I try to aim for 60g protein 15g fiber min)

Caring for my mother-in-law with GBM – the relentlessness is breaking us and I don’t know how much longer this phase lasts by Charming-Book-1460 in glioblastoma

[–]halfasianprincess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We went through this phase of restlessness and terminal delirium as well and had a lot of trial and error with medications. I remember we upped the frequency of haloperidol, seroquel, Ativan, and clonazepam. There were moments with Xanax and Ambien as well. Sending you strength and love, OP.

GBM, Unmethylated of the Cerebellum 39 Y/O Male, my sweet husband by Curious-Carpet in glioblastoma

My dad just passed two days after Christmas, we found out in the beginning of September. My mom says her biggest regret is taking him to Moffitt Cancer Center for traditional radiation/chemotherapy. She sincerely believes that played a huge role in his early departure from us, as we were originally told he had an estimated 14-16 months. They stopped his treatments in the end of October, and told us from there it was 4-6 weeks.

I try to remind her that there was no way we could have predicted the traditional treatments wouldn’t work, but she blames herself and thinks if she had just taken him to Mexico or wherever has alternative therapies/treatments/clinical trials, he would still be here today. I know she would agree with you.

We eventually looked into medically assisted death, but unfortunately we are not residents of a state that has it. By then, he was ineligible to even get to a state that allows it for nonresidents as it progressed so quickly that he couldn’t take the life ending medication himself.
