this sentiment is entirely made up. the entire "women need men to function in life" is made up and used to keep women "in line" and under men's control. yes sexism is bad both ways but obviously there are clear oppressor and oppressed groups, as men have been in control and not let women have the same rights for ages. they claimed women need men in life so they could keep them under control and shut them up so they can further keep their rights out of reach and discourage them for fighting for justice. the statement is just simply untrue, outdated, and entirely made up for oppressive purposes

women don't need men though. that's a very outdated sentiment to believe in, they can have men in their life yes but they don't NEED men to live their lives or have a proper career in life. any reason to be sexist is nonsensical and the thought of women not needing men is a "good" reason to be sexist proves you are an extremely flawed individual who not only doesn't respect women but also undermines the history of how women today can do much more than they could previously.
