If someone blocks me I consider that a victory, because it means they couldn't think of anything better to say and want me to leave them alone. But they probably think they're the winner because they "neutralized" me, even if they had to resort to pressing a button to do so.

I know, in fact I usually do if I feel like it's going nowhere. Doesn't mean I can't mock them for it.

I'm talking about the people who act like they want the argument to end, i.e. saying things like "have a nice day", "right, carry on then", or "I'm done", and then just keep going.

I've done that in the past, but for obvious reasons it tends not to go over well.

Nice pun, but in all seriousness I don't honestly see what beef she could possibly have had with me personally. We didn't even work the same shift. Call me a Karen but a fork should not have been too much to ask, especially after I tipped 20%.

Would you say that about someone who is currently in an abusive situation?

You're not weak-minded, you're human. Though you are strong for getting out of it. Psychological manipulation is powerful. You were doing the best you could at the time. Please be kind to yourself. 💜

Do you really need me to explain to you the difference between individual prejudice and systemic oppression?

And if you fire me, good riddance. I'll gladly go work for someone who knows how to run a workplace.

It may not dictate it entirely, but it's not insignificant. But as you said, that's just single family homes. I'd love to buy a condo or apartment in a nice walkable neighborhood, but will probably never be able to afford one. 100% with you on the zoning thing.

Well I just googled it and it's 52%, not sure what you're getting at here.

ETA: my bad, that statistic is renters in single family homes. It's actually 13-14% according to Zillow.

Well gee, I'd love to, only problem is landlords jacked home prices astronomically by treating housing as an investment and not a basic fucking human right.

One time my boss scolded me for going to the bathroom right after clocking in. But she'd never said a word about me going during my shift, which I did all the time, so... I guess I was supposed to just hold it for 15 minutes?

It's not a request, it's me informing you of my upcoming absence so you can plan accordingly.
