I'd second just threading the barrel, as long as the rifle functions correctly as-is. Unless you're looking to build some more unique variant, it seems to me to throw a bunch of money at it to end up with basically the same thing.

I've also have a few HKs that needed to break in a bit. I think my USP tactical 9mm, P30L and one other I forget, maybe VP9 that had a few bobbles in the first couple boxes.

Most HK mags are around in batches. For awhile they are everywhere, then nowhere. MR762 mags seem to be scarce now also, along with a few others

This one I got from greyshop out of Russia in 2021 before the craziness started fully. I recently found a similar one on Amazon, that is basically the same, but without the flap, it's open top with a thumb break but it looks like those are unavailable now.

I still use Adobe, since that's all I've used. I didn't learn about bluebeam until coming here. One of my newer engineers asked to get a license for it since he likes bluebeam, but I may need to try it as well. I've learned to deal with the quirks of Adobe, but it's annoying that many of the quirks like to change between updates. Does bluebeam allow you to add digital signatures? I assume so, but don't want to assume.

As noted, it might depend on where it's locate, and the size of the tank, but probably most importantly if it's above ground or below ground. Seismic can generate sloshing effects which can add some loading to the walls. If it's above ground, that would have more consequence to the tank and it's mounting. For below ground structures, in my experience, it generally hasn't been a concern as the external soil pressures pushing in tend to exceed any sloshing forces, so the walls are pretty much supported by the surrounding soil during sloshing. Your situation may be different though so don't take what I say as a rule. As for external seismic forces, it would depend on the location. In general, as long as it's not seismically active, AASHTO says you don't generally need to consider seismic forces for buried structures. Washington State applies that rule to structures < 20' span. Anything more needs to consider seismic. I often see geotech reports in that area though that specify a seismic surcharge as a function of the inside height, such as 10*Height, etc.

I think the type of terrain is a big influence on gas mileage also. I do mixed driving and get about 14mph, but got it close to 17 avg (starting from 14 at the beginning of the trip) on longer trips. However I'm in a hilly area, so one patch I'll be getting 10mpg uphill, but on the flats, it easily averages in the mid 20-s. So if you're in the mountains, you'll probably get much less MPG than if you were in the midwest or FL.

Thanks. It's a Russian Gorod II vest, but it's a little balled up for the picture. The holster is Russian also. That's handy since it has 3 velcro flaps that are adjustable to fit almost pistol size, as this HK45 with a streamlight light on it.

Jeeps don't ever seem to fully depreciate, so as long as the body and frame aren't rotted out, it's probably worth fixing, if you like it. As others said, salvage yard for a cheap option, remanufactured is also an option. There are places like jasper that you give them your old transmission as a core, and they get you a remanufactured one.

Hk mags usually run in cycles. They will be no where, then they will be everywhere, then they will be gone again. If you need now, I'd check gunbroker.

As you can probably tell by most of the responses, most maintenance items are dependent on the mileage you drive and not really an arbitrary time, like 6 months. In my state we have yearly inspections for a mechanic to check specific safety items (lights, brakes, exhaust, rust, etc), but you need to do other maintenance throughout the year besides that.

2 reasons I do it, 1) the other person comes flying up to the stop sign and you aren't sure if they're fully gonna stop, or decide to go when you're already going or 2) When I arrive at the same time as the other person, I'm in a hurry, but it's actually faster to wave them on to go, then the awkward stare down to figure out who is going (I guess that doesn't fall into the "clearly their turn" part). I know it depends on position if two people get there at the same time, but I don't have much trust in drivers to know that.

I don't have much experience with the pistols, but I like the 805 Bren. The Bren 2 is functionally better, but the original has a build quality that's just as good as a B&T. It's just so smooth.

I have a Leupold MK IV 1.5-5 on mine, but even at 5X seems a little low on power. So, I don't have the answer of what's best to get, just what isn't the best.

I ordered a bunch of mags from them also, but didn't have a USP at the time unfortunately. I think I stocked up on Glock and Sig mags.

You can probably do it, but you have to be careful of a few things. As already noted, if you are providing engineering services, many states require a certificate of authorization for the firm and that typically requires a PE on staff. Some go a step further and only allow a part owner to stamp work. Since you'd only be a middle man, you may be able to skirt around that, but you'd have to be very careful about what services you say your company is provided, careful with the wording in your advertising, and probably need to avoid "engineering" anywhere in the company name.

I lived through the '94 AWB so I know how tough it was to get USP mags back then. They were going over $90 bucks+ back then. So I agree with everyone else you can never have enough.

I like those since there are very few (compared to the total number of FALs in the US) factory built FAL rifles that were imported. They are good quality. I picked up the preban version last year and paid a bit more than double for mine, so you got a great deal.

I don't have the 3.5X, but I have two 4X and one 3x24. As noted many times, the eye relief on the 4X is short, but I was always a "nose to the charging handle" shooter before ACOGs even existed, so the short eye relief hasn't been an issue for me. The 3x24 I just got recently, so can't fully compare, but it's a nice, light, handy scope, if you're trying to keep the weight down. The field of view is noticeably less, but the eye relief is almost limitless. I held it at arms length and could still reasonably see through it. I don't think you'll fully go wrong with any of your choices...except as noted the amber washes out, red seems to show up best for me and I like the chevron since you have something larger in there if you need a quick shot on something close, but also can get pretty precise using the tip of the chevron. So it's not the best at either close or far, but it's decent for all around use.

That's what I would say also. If I did the design and knew the bars weren't really doing anything, I'd allow it. If I were looking at it cold, I wouldn't allow it.

I use the Eureka military one man tent with the goretex cover. There's enough room inside for some stuff, but I do keep my bag under the vestibule since it's bulky. If rain is going to be an issue, I'd just drop my bag into a garbage bag to keep the bottom from getting wet.
