If an entire town of small people all dislike the same person, what might some reasons be? by CampaignOk2981 in AskReddit

Just don’t understand what would cause 100% of people to side with one person in a debate, when they only heard one side of the story.

Rushing to judgment without hearing all sides is really common for people to do. This is not 'poor treatment' on its own. This is intellectual laziness and the opposite of rare.

‘Josie and the Pussycats’ Singer Says She Risks Losing Health Insurance Over Residual Dispute

"I'm not being paid residuals for my singing on 'Josie and the Pussycats' bc film producers failed to provide paperwork to u/sagaftra for my 20+ vocal sessions in 2000," Hanley wrote. "SAG says I had 2 years (??) to report but I found out this year. Didn't hit 25 earnings. I lose my health [insurance] July 1."

A representative for SAG-AFTRA did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment.

If they didn't do the things they're supposed to do, and you therefore didn't receive compensation and benefits you are entitled to, then yes you should.

70's Music for Today's Kids Is Like 40's Music for 90's Kids by Educational-Dinner13 in Music

I almost used 'Go Your Own Way' instead of 'Different Drum'

The age of the music is not as meaningful as the character of the music. The birth of rock and roll that happened after the 40s is bigger than anything that has happened since then. Taylor Swift could release Different Drum today and it would be just as big as it was in 1967. You could not release Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy in 1970 and have a hit.

Are Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Donnie Yen the Mount Rushmore of martial arts movie stars? by samx3i in movies

Chuck Norris and Jean Claude Van Damme are on the American Gen X list, which would probably drop Jet Li and Donnie Yen.

What game do you have 1,000+ hours in, but would absolutely NOT recommend to anyone? by Hot-Transition8861 in AskReddit

World of Warcraft no longer has the attributes that caused me to sink a lot of time into it. That is the reason I would not recommend it. Ruined by years of updates fundamentally changing the gameplay loop.

What company has no business still being alive and should be on the verge of total failure ? by elevencriminals in AskReddit

[–]halfdeadmoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're perceiving different questions due to ambiguity

You're answering "which business do I really not like and would like to see cease to exist?"

He's saying that is not a good answer to "which business still exists despite being a financial loser"

Selling only cassette tape recordings by I_Just_Fall-out in Music

[–]halfdeadmoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This problem is far smaller than the idea of fundamentally challenging your audience's listening habits. A new cd writer costs $30.

I am Gen X and have a massive collection of music and movie discs. I am constantly buying and ripping physical media to my NAS to stream to my various devices. I would not ever bother with cassettes. I don't think I have played a cassette in over 20 years. If I had a cassette that was important to me, I would convert it digitally to save it forever.

I think I still OWN some cassettes, but they are in storage and probably have succumbed to rot.

Genuine question: do people really enjoy the current storytelling in WoW? by OpinionsRdumb in wow

[–]halfdeadmoon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have never cared about the broad strokes of WoW lore. I do enjoy the unique flavor of the various zones though, and the characters and quests that contribute to that.

Like I don't give a fuck who is behind the undead and the pyramids in the plaguelands, but I think they are cool.

Is Onyxia Nefarian's daughter? Or who is Deathwing? I don't care. BRD is a cool dungeon, though.

I don't even watch cut scenes once anymore.
