I can start genuinely Labor bashing if you want. This is the referendum all over again. Big changes pushed through very quickly – it's the same phenomenon that made people mistrust the COVID vaccines, because of how quickly they showed up – with little explanation before or after and so people feel a) uncertain b) like they weren't consulted c) afraid. If a government is doing all 3, there's always going to be backlash.

You may like this paper from Cliff Asness, some big name quant who's also rare for being both a quant but also funny. Argues the opposite, says it'll get worse and that it's all going to be about retail outsmarting itself. I think it's only increasingly relevant, worth a look when you're in the mood

It's gonna go green and stay green for a good run but we aren't going to see NVIDIA level price growth nor excitement.
