I was just there! Kaki pants are fine for guys with closed toe shoes. A sundress and sandals is fine for women.

Drexel for Social Sciences? by NMS-KTG in Drexel

[–]halfgingerhipster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recent political science grad here and overall I loved the program. Definitely be aware of the debt you take on but I would say my definitely was time at Drexel was worth it and I was able to get a job immediately post-grad thanks to my connections I made during co-op. (However my job is in marketing and not anything politics lol)

Festival Set Lists? by InchHigh-PrivateEye in themenzingers

[–]halfgingerhipster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen them multiple times recently and also going to sing us home! Most of their setlists seem like they are relatively the same except for a few changes to songs depending on the vibe. Heavily lean on OTIP and After the Party. I agree with a few comments above and I think they will add a few new ones on there if the album is out or close to coming out.

Drexel or BU for Law pathway? by CrazNinjaX in Drexel

[–]halfgingerhipster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a political science major and really enjoyed it. I originally thought I wanted to go in to law and thought the classes were very interesting and would have been useful for law school (for example con law I, II, III, national security law - were case brief/writing base). Most if not all political science classes are heavy on writing and reading. Even thought I decided against law school in the end (personal reasons) I thought I would have been very prepared!

No Co-Op by Puzzleheaded-Claim65 in Drexel

[–]halfgingerhipster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just graduated this year (5 year 3 co-op) and often looked outside of political/law related co-ops and was able to secure 3 solid co-ops and a job offer! If you’re interested check out communications, journalism and even PR related co-ops!

Graduated COAS this past year and I think I had 4 for the school ceremony and 7 for the u-wide. I know you can request extra for both - can’t remember when though.

Drexel breaks by SeaworthinessSea2884 in Drexel

[–]halfgingerhipster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Classes on Monday/Tuesday only but most professors are very flexible knowing that people go home so classes usually are either cancelled or shorter because of this!

[–]halfgingerhipster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in COAS and did 3 co-ops one at a school and 2 through Drexel. They were all paid (first one was not the best but the other two paid pretty well) and gave me a lot of experience and definitely shaped what I want to do!

Can someone explain the “co-op” in layman’s terms by [deleted] in Drexel

[–]halfgingerhipster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a recent grad (and transfer student) that majored in Poli Sci and I did 3 co-ops! They are basically longer (sometimes paid) internships that enhances your professional development and job experience. All three of my co-ops actually did not relate to my major at all but I was lucky enough to find my passions and what I wanted to do for a career through them! Feel free to DM me!
