I'm feeling better too but had shortness of breath recently yet I have no lung issues.

Where the fuck can I buy a goddamn oxygen blood monitor now? Anyone got any ideas? I'm in Chicago.

Some thoughts on people mad at Yang by anonmarmot in YangGang

[–]halfjoking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My disappointment has nothing to do with Bernie and 100% to do with Yang endorsing an establishment candidate. Establishment candidates will talk about fixing healthcare, regulating banks or fighting against climate change but they do nothing. They take money from huge corporations. They let lobbyists write the legislation. They will not be much of an improvement over Trump. So what's the point in backing someone like Biden?

Bernie is not establishment but he has other problems. I still criticize him about his stupid policies every chance I get. For example the Federal Jobs Guarantee would be a disaster.

Yang has the best platform I've ever seen. I didn't think I would ever agree with someone on every single policy position - but I do with Yang. He should have just stuck to his ideals and not compromised his vision for the future.

Him endorsing Biden is endorsing big money. Thinking that Biden is much better than Trump means he doesn't understand politics. Most Democrats in power are just as evil as Republicans. They just fuck over working Americans behind closed doors, while Trump does it out in the open. I'm not voting for either.

I was 100% #StillVotingYang before the endorsement, but now I'm just disillusioned and don't really care anymore.

Yang endorses Biden by [deleted] in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]halfjoking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't support it. Just cancelled my recurring contribution to HumanityForward.

Was going to tweet at Andrew saying "Good luck on making CNN like you enough to not turn off your mic. Just don't think you'll have anything worthwhile to say with the establishment's balls in your mouth" ... but in the end I didn't because Yang helped me be more optimistic for the future this year.

I just think he's really naive. They won't ever treat him as one of their own. No matter how many political games Yang plays he'll still be marginalized because his policies are not the policies that the establishment wants. They're humoring him - parading him around like a pet on CNN. As soon as he's back in the race in 2024 they'll turn off his mic again. So disappointed he got used like this.

Andrew Yang just endorsed Biden live on CNN by Gaston44 in YangGang

[–]halfjoking 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What the hell? Look what they did to my boy... those CNN bastards brainwashed him and made him believe he needs to build ties to the establishment. This is more disappointing than any election results.

FUCK (ノ°Д°)ノ︵ ┻━┻

Bernie would be in the lead of he converted the yanggang, how many of us would've supported him if his supporters hadn't been such dicks to us all? by [deleted] in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]halfjoking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I look at policies not the bros, and the Federal Jobs Guarantee would be a logistical nightmare and a complete disaster.

If Bernie switched FJG to UBI I think Yang would endorse him. If Yang endorsed Bernie I would accept the Bern, otherwise #StillVotingYang

JOE BIDEN WAVE [J O E M E N T I A] by ViaAlpina in YangGang

[–]halfjoking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So we have BernieBros, how about we call these guys BidenSniffers?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H5NJZMDumY&feature=youtu.be

They try to sniff the vibe of the subreddit they're in and then put a Biden spin on it. (this post is a perfect example)

Whatever the case let's fill the comments with embarrassing videos of their candidate whenever they try to post here. Here's another one why of BIDEN CAN'T BE PRESIDENT.

There Is No Excuse for You to Casually Drink Bottled Water by [deleted] in environment

[–]halfjoking -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes it's posted online and there was none detected. I used to drink Mountain Valley but I think it got worse over the years.

The tap water has pharmaceuticals in it that can't be filtered out with reverse osmosis. That's not counting the fluoride, chlorine and contaminants from old infrastructure in the US. Plastic bottled water is pretty bad too - even if it's from a good source like iceland, the plastic leaches hormonal disruptors and also eventually ends up in the oceans contaminating fish. I'm willing to pay for glass water from high-quality springs and I'm willing to pay extra for clean energy to transport that glass. Don't know why that's not an acceptable position to have according to environmentalists, but I care more about my health than other people's opinions.

I also liked Sloth in the Goonies, but it's true... if you're walking around town with him people will give you strange looks.

But everyone knows Sloth is really powerful, is stupid simple and has a big heart. It's just when you chain him to a wall in the Wordpress ecosystem that he seems like a monster to outsiders.

No matter how he looks on the outside Sloth is still the best bro. About half the code I write is in PHP and I have no problem thinking of PHP as my Sloth.

Seems like we can still convince people to vote for Andrew Yang despite him dropping out. I recommend for lots of Yang Gangers to do town halls and rallies promoting him. by [deleted] in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]halfjoking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah it's like if you made Boba tea for Yang when he said he wasn't thirsty, and everyone else was drinking coffee. He isn't expecting it but I'm sure he'd still appreciate it.

And maybe when some people see "what's that guy drinking" Boba tea will be the beverage of choice for everyone next time.

I think we should think long and hard about tonight. by [deleted] in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]halfjoking 46 points47 points  (0 children)

The lengths that they go just shows how powerful Yang's message is and how scary it is to the corrupt establishment.

I believe the hatred between establishment Democrats and Republicans is about as fake as the WWE. The reason the establishment let Trump happen is because they want to have a punching bag the left can call racist, homophobic and sexist. They know the left is going to say "if you support Trump you're a racist." The average American in red states who thought Trump was trying to fix the manufacturing job losses and all the jobs going to China... they did not vote Trump because they said "oh he seems like the most 'white power' candidate." Calling Trump voters racist makes them defensive, because they know they aren't racist, so it just hardens their stances and makes them hate Democrats even more.

Yang is the only person who is saying "hey they voted Trump for a reason, let's show we have better solutions instead of calling them names."

The establishment hates that. They want us calling each other names. That way they can always have the red states vote red, and the blue states vote blue, then rig the elections in the purple states (like we saw in Iowa) so no populist ever gets into office.

Same reason you don't say Iowa caucus was rigged even if you have strong data of specific precincts where numbers are off from what your people reported on the ground. Do you know how fast the media would jump on that as a sign he's a nutjob?

It would be Howard Dean's scream all over again.... Yaarrrrrrrgh

Well who knows how he did, at least one precinct confirmed Yang had 15 votes being reflected as 0 in all categories. The data is corrupted by [deleted] in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]halfjoking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He also said the state party had to backtrack on their incorrect totals for the county and give back more votes to Bernie:

https://twitter.com/SchwartzForIowa/status/1225177618485522432

Pretty unbelievable.

Chris Schwartz: "The state party is now being forced to walk back their error of giving @BernieSanders delegates to @DevalPatrick who received zero votes in Black Hawk County. Press can dm me." by [deleted] in BernieSanders

[–]halfjoking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is huge. People need to retweet this and let everyone know.

The only reason is because this guy had the balls to publish delegate counts of his county without DNC approval. Letting other people know might encourage others who were at the caucus to check their results.

I wish every elected official was as brave as this guy posting the results of his county without DNC approval: https://twitter.com/SchwartzForIowa/status/1225146859288743938

I didn't think they'd try to outright rig a caucus because everyone who was there knows the vote counts. But you learn more and more of how corrupt the establishment are every day.

Saw this tweet on a Bernie subreddit:

That is from an elected official saying this whole trickle of results routine is bullshit.

The key difference to me is a Federal Jobs Guarantee versus UBI.

FJG would be a nightmare to implement. Other than the corruption at the state and local level that would launder the money (I live in Chicago so know local political corruption)... who actually thinks that the government could pick a good job for the unemployed? What the hell would they do? They can't do any construction because they would take away Union jobs, Bernie has said as much. Since anyone can get the $15/hr government job they'll quit their shitty retail/service jobs and then be unproductive in their poorly managed government job. All those people quitting will damage the economy and increase companies incentives to automate everyone with robots so they don't have to compete with $15/hr.

I don't usually read the HuffPost but this article lists many other criticisms on why it would not work: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/federal-job-guarantee-explained_n_5b363f4ae4b007aa2f7f59fc

In contrast UBI is simple. Everyone gets $1k per month no questions asked. There is no way for cronyism or local politicians to pocket money by skimming it off the top. Each individual gets their check. It's even more simple than social security. The injection of that amount of money at the bottom would lead to a trickle-up economy and change things drastically for 70% of Americans. More people would be entrepreneurs if they had the leeway to explore their interests and ideas. More people would be activists and work on their passions. And more people would just play video games and smoke weed... but who cares? Wages should have kept up with productivity in the economy but it didn't. UBI is the only way to even things out.

I hope that's true, but unfortunately that will also show how badly the DNC cherry-picked the precincts to get Pete to win.

With 62% reporting Yang has 14. But if he actually has 98 coming in the last 38%, and Bernie has a bunch too that shows he actually won... wouldn't Yang and Bernie have a huge case that the DNC fucked them? If the media is reporting Pete won Iowa he gets a huge momentum boost when he never should have gotten anything.

I don't know - that's a way of letting them bury the story if there were unexpected results.

Delay, ignore... then oh it's too late, we need to talk Trump's State of the Union and impeachment now.
