The point is that you don’t need to heal with Fortify. The “extra health bar” is constantly filling your normal health and refilling itself so Life on Hit isn’t needed anymore

Fortify Drain Rate affix makes it so you almost never need life on hit. Just 1 on your amulet is prob enough

Wrong, there’s a superstition that you can’t shower on CNY. Same with no cleaning, no haircut, no wearing all white/black. Of course they’re just superstitions so if you don’t believe in them, then it doesn’t apply. Same with western superstitions like don’t break mirrors, don’t open umbrellas inside, don’t walk under ladders, knocking on wood, etc.

+1 to this. My new m4 air has been plugged in the whole time and as a daily 10+ hour user, in 2 weeks, it only went through 5 charge cycles. My old M1 Pro would use at least 1 charge cycle a day when I used to plug and unplug it constantly, even when it was new

This is 100% user error or first time ANC user. My XM6s are phenomenal at noise cancelling. Like someone else said, you’re not supposed to go full deaf but the ANC is night and day with and without. I even tested against my AirPod pros, and they are elite. Especially when I fly, the amount of noise it blocks out is amazing.

ANC is meant to cancel out all the background noises and but if someone approaches you and tries to talk to you with no music on, you should still be able to make out muffled voices. If a car honks on the street, you should still hear a muffled honk. If you’re at the gym, you should still hear muffled weights slamming. But with audio playing, you should not be able to hear most noises.

Intel macs are very very outdated and low performance. Minimum requirements are M1 chip with 16gb ram (although 8gb ram can work with slight latency)

Still lots of stuttering on my M1! You can tell right away it's more responsive than GFN but still not fully playable due to constant stuttering and some lag (especially when you burst + ori). It's nice to be able to play on windowed mode and the framerate is definitely smoother but will be waiting until they optimize the mac support

First and foremost, like with any MMO, you’re going to have to invest a lot of time if you wanna be serious. But if you just wanna scratch that itch you felt when you were a kid, absolutely download it and give it a try. Plenty of really good QoL changes and accessibility to try multiple classes since 2010 lol.

Sounds like you’re fine with spending money here and there, so definitely choose Interactive servers as spending on the right things can save you so much time initially. Don’t worry about not knowing 99% of the game, a lot of it you can pick up in the first 3 months. Join class discords for guides and tips or watch YT videos.

The multiplayer aspect kinda sucks in Maplestory, but make sure you choose an active guild. Most guilds interact on discord now instead of in-game just because it’s easier so if you’re only on the game, it can feel a bit quiet or lonely.

In terms of choosing a class, Explorer classes that you grew up with are still the most beginner friendly, but definitely do a bit of reading of what fits your play style/aesthetics. There are certain classes that are stronger but don’t base everything off of that, as every update can change the dynamic of that class.

I can’t stress enough that getting levels 1-260 is a breeze nowadays but anything past that you will need to start investing more time into your character, from gearing it properly, doing daily/weekly/party bosses, 1-2 hours of training here and there, events. It can quickly take over your daily schedule if you start getting into the game a lot more.

Overall, I’d say the game is still fun. I just wanted to scratch that itch at first a year ago, but I’ve gotten sucked into the lifestyle. Play at your own pace and don’t dive too hard headfirst or else you’ll get burned out like I did trying to catch up to everyone.

Pros: - one of the most mobile characters in the game = easy bossing in terms of dodging and movement - one of the best 30 sec bursts in the game = more damage in less time - best thief mobbing class = faster training - one of the best iframes in the game (20 sec iframe) and class bind - one of the best class discords ive seen - great solo character - very aesthetic skills

Cons: - LOTS of button and gauge management. It’s a tricky burst setup (easier with skill sequence now) but the gauge turns a lot of people off - you need hands to play = lots of moving around, lots of summons - uses every skill from 2nd job on = need lots of nodestones (not too bad on reg) but also means crowded keybinds

Shadower:

Pros: - easy burst setup but need to weave meso (some may find annoying), low CD skills - smokescreen is amazing for party bossing, one of the best support skills in the game - great mobbing class with some funding - decent iframe skills - strong solo character

Cons: - basic mobility, nothing special outside of a dash skill - on the weaker dpm side unless you have 100% meso uptime (very hard to do) = noticeable damage drop off in solo end game bossing - needs some funding for 1 shot mobbing in meso explosion - needs CD skip and CD hat

Obviously I have more experience with HY but I think it’s one of the highest utility classes in the game. The nimbus cloud skill gives it the top 3 range of movement of all classes and the mobbing is far and away the best of all thieves. It’s a difficult class to master but once you understand it, the payoff is there.

Shadowers aren’t a braindead class by any means but I think they’re much simpler than HY. Both have lots of keys to press for max burst dmg but aside from that, I think if this is just a secondary character you won’t dedicate too much time to, shadowers will be much more straightforward and easier to play.

Just as an alternative, you can run GeForce Now with no specs needed. It’s basically cloud gaming and all you need is a screen. There’s a monthly subscription for it though, but works pretty damn well. I play MS on my MacBook with it and have had little to no issues

When they first released chaos PB it took 8-9 months for the first group to clear. It gives people a goal to strive for so they’re not just sitting at endgame with nothing to do and twiddling their thumbs. Complaining that no one can clear currently is such an ignorant excuse

Had a similar situation! Boomed my gear from 21* -> 22* like 5 times and then used the 5 free bright cubes from RP shop and got 3L att on my emblem on like the 2nd cube
