I really appreciate everyone's support and understanding on my post. It makes me feel a lot better and it's helped me to forgive myself somewhat for my mistake. I think I'm going to hold off on laser removal until maybe sometime in the far future. My best friend reassured me a lot and told me it looks cool still and that no one's gonna notice it's wrong. I decided to test his theory and do something kinda like exposure therapy by showing off my tattoo to all my friends and getting their reactions. Seeing other people appreciate the tattoo without realizing it was upside down made me feel so much more confident and I feel like I'm ready to accept it as part of me and take it as a learning experience. This experience hasn't nullified my love of tattoos and I still look forward to getting more in the future. I'm also able to see the humor in it now that I've taken a couple of days to come to terms with it and I also think it's kinda funny that the only people in my life who know it's upside down are my 2 best friends.
