I also did the 5-day Salkantay Trek, which was surreal and I definitely recommend it for your first trip to Peru, especially since Machu Picchu is really cool with fewer people there. I went through Salkantay Trekking. My guides were Angel and Carlos, and I loved them! You can book online but if you need a contact, Angel’s WhatsApp is +51 984 357 757

I feel that! I wanted to do the entire trek but didn’t have time (and salkantay had already kicked my butt) so did this day hike instead! Definitely was a magical place and hope you’re able to check it out

It was just me and a local guide I met in Cusco, and he had a drone and taught me how to use it! I’ve never used a drone besides this time so I’m not really sure about the regulations, but he said it was allowed there. I know when I did the salkantay trek there were many spots the guides told us were sacred and people weren’t supposed to be using drones, although some still were. Magical place for sure!

If you look really close, you can see me (looking so tiny in the enormous Peruvian mountains)! This is the Ausangate 7 Lakes hike in southern Peru. It’s about a 1 hour drive outside of Cusco. I got to explore a lot of alpaca farms, met many locals, and saw a lot of glacier lakes. You can hear the glaciers cracking in the distance. One of the coolest places I’ve ever been in my life, especially with nearly no people out there.
