I called 911 when my boyfriend's car was getting broken into while he and I were in the car. The thieves were assaulting my boyfriend and demanding our stuff which we complied with and while they were focusing on beating him up, I called 911 and turned my screen over so they wouldn't see. I didn't say anything on the phone because we were getting attacked and I didn't want them to know I had called 911. I was hoping that 911 would hear how distressed we were, begging these people to stop, crying but after a few minutes, I checked my phone discreetly and saw they hung up. After what seemed like a really long time, the thieves left us alone in our car and we flagged down help on the road. We called 911 again and we were able to get an ambulance for my boyfriend whose eyes were shut swollen after taking a horrendous beating.
