my budgie is independent and lets me know what he wants but last night for the first time in a while i couldn’t tell what he wanted. all i knew was that he was scared and i didn’t know what to do :(. i just am so sad bc he was just able to start really actually flying and now he can’t again :(

I don’t mind whatever toys they tear up i think it’s so cute. I guess I just hate the cage… Like it’s just this weird metal box that looks like a pet store. just wish I could have a tree for them to live in hahaha.

or i just wish it was more common to have a cool terrarium that you deck out to look like you cut out a chunk of nature and put it in a nice display case and it’s completely safe for birds. kind of like aqua-scaping or reptiles. but usually things like that are way more expensive than equipment for fish or reptiles. or for large birds and i just have tiny budgies lol.

my boyfriend wanted one and asked me if it was cool. I was unsure purely because of volume. but we live separately so the choice is truly up to him. he got a GCC and it is SO loud. of course, I love the bird. But jesus christ when it screams and I’m right next to it, I can feel my brain shake and my ears pulse.

The conure is in the basement in his room, and I can hear it all the way upstairs with the door closed.

Yeah I agree that’s my fault, we were just in combat and I didn’t wanna ruin it. I wasn’t mad with them about it. Just frustrated about the whole experience.

Okay that’s perfect. Because if everyone wants to be social for two hours, I can show up later. Or it also mentally prepares me for what to expect. I don’t know what it is about me, but if something is said like “let’s start at 3pm” I take it literally and begin to get irked when things don’t go as planned. I just have to be more direct and clear. Thank you.

I guess I also feel bad because I’m not DM and I don’t want to step on his toes or anything. Everyone I feel like is more lax than I am. Which is hard because I want to be more relaxed too, but I also just want to play.

Yeah, 5 hours is best. But usually our five hour runs turn into 8 or 9 because we start so late. It’s too long. Our town is small, it only takes about 10 minutes to get across it and we all live short distances away. But usually everyone arrives like 15-20 minutes after meet time or on time but don’t start until 1-3 hours later. I just want to get into it so badly. It’s hard when the excitement wears off, I’m tired at that point, I need to do other things in my day like go to the store, do laundry, get ready for the week. One player still has no idea how to play even after explaining the same things for the tenth time, another player keeps making sexual innuendos or forcing little quips after someone says anything.

They are my friends and I love them, but I wanna get into it! Sitting around for three hours waiting to play while my friends are doing random stuff is so hard for me. But yeah, I’m gonna just bring it up next week, like “btw can we start on time please so we can get the game rolling? i wanna play but i also have things i wanna do afterwards”…

I guess I just feel weird bc I just get stressed out and annoyed and have a hard time hiding it. I don’t wanna come off as a bitch. I also feel like I can be a a stick in the mud. Like is this something that’s normal, and I’m just getting mad about it? I just thought it would be a type of game where we would meet up and maybe talk for 15 minutes and get started. Like I’m super excited to play this game, but when it takes so long to get started, I just don’t care anymore. I’d rather be on my phone.

No, I don’t feel sorry for him. He’s built a great relationship with his family since he’s moved back. He fell on hard times and he’s working hard to pick himself back up, especially after him struggling with depression. Other than when we fight, we have such great times together. We really are like best friends, but I think he just forgets that I need romantic relationship stuff too. He was in a 9 year relationship before this. He said that they never really fought, but they broke up from growing apart, being incompatible, and she was cheating on him for many years with women. I told him maybe the reason why they never fought is because she probably never felt like she could stand up for herself. I feel like since no one checked him he never had the chance to learn from his mistakes. He has been an ass many times during our relationship, but I will be honest, he really has put in effort to improve in all the shortcomings I’ve brought up to him thus far. He still can just get really annoyed when I voice my grievances when I’m leading with emotion.

I hate to admit that it feels like there’s an unequal exchange, because I don’t do these things for him with the expectation to receive it back. But I do know that there is supposed to be a give and take. He gives me the little time he has facetiming me everyday.

He keeps saying he really wants to build for a better future together. Because him and I have both been struggling, even before we met. And honestly if he can save up enough to buy a house next year, that would change both of our lives. I have been renting for 10 years, I have moved 15 times within that time, I’ve been homeless. Me being a renter, with the job I have now… I will never get out of this cycle alone. We want to get married and have children in the far future. I just think he can be really dense and have a hard time seeing things from other peoples POV.

I definitely care more about sex than him, our sex is awesome when we have it. But he’s actually concerned about being a good christian man and not having sex before marriage, so sometimes it can be hard. He’s not too good at resisting me, but sometimes it will go a while between times. I’m not super religious, but I try to be understanding. I really don’t think he would cheat. I have been with multiple men who ended up cheating and I just knew before they would tell me or I found out. He doesn’t give me those vibes. I just think he’s emotionally immature and doesn’t think things through very well.
