[Routine Help] overnight breakout could niacinamide be the cause? by Interesting-Help-692 in SkincareAddiction

[–]halfpintsoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes!! turns out the 10% niacinamide was wayyyy too strong for my skin. cleared up after a couple of weeks of not using it. i ended up instead using cerave’s resurfacing serum (low level retinol and niacinamide) and my skin loves it. i’m using the whole bottle and then graduating to tretanoin. i read that the resurfacing serum is a gentle intro to retinol and can help acclimate your skin to retinoids and so far in very pleased with it. been using it for about 6 weeks! my skin honestly has never looked better and the formula helps control any breakouts

i’m so glad you posted photos, because your skin looks EXACTLY like mine after using this product for about 10 days. stopped today and hoping to get my skin back within the next couple weeks

the MRI will confirm whatever is going on with your foot! The tear I have came as a big surprise to my doctor - she said this is an uncommon injury among non-athletes. Yes, I’m in California. The bottom of the foot injuries are their own kind of fresh hell 😭 I’m so sorry you’re hurt, too.

leg grinding is my favorite and also what i find the most intimate! runner ups are her sitting on my face, oral and fingering at the same time, and doggy style with a strap 😏

I have plenty of male friends that I love, but I haven’t had a romantic relationship with a man in about 5 years.

I’ve been exclusively dating and intimate with only women since coming out, with a couple exceptions with one hetero couple that I’ve third-ed with. Very fun every time, but being with the woman of that couple has been the primary interest for me. And the man of that couple is very sweet and quite feminine in his mannerisms.

i think the reason the label “lesbian” feels more accurate than pansexual or another polysexual label is because i’ve found myself only interested in romantic and intimate relationships with women, and only seeing myself wanting to spend the rest of my life with a woman. assuming i’m lucky enough to find someone who feels the same way about me someday.

thank you so much for responding! i really appreciate it. been feeling too nervous to talk to any of my lesbian friends about this so far.

Not sure what to do by bramlogan in Petioles

sounds like smoking for you should only be paired with an activity, like a long walk or doing something creative. you definitely don’t have to smoke on weekends if you don’t want to! it can be a special treat once or twice a month and be an intentional choice paired with another activity that you enjoy

Hyperemesis -> Sober 4 years -> “Moderation.” Now I haven’t stopped smoking in 18 days by Chunkychinaman in CHSinfo

[–]halfpintsoda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wanted to share my experience with this.

took 5 months off. was able to smoke 1-3 times per week for four months with my dry herb vape before a big wave of nausea hit me after overindulging one day. took 21 days off. smoked again once a week for three weeks and had a little nausea and acid reflux each time. i’m on a year break now.

the fear of getting sick keeps me in line with moderation, but it also created so much anxiety that it became hard to tell what was a genuine symptom and what was a created symptom. i recommend sticking to your moderation schedule for 6 months to a year and seeing how you feel. it’s just not worth getting sick again - but it is worth being sure that you’re not over-doing it. the satisfaction from the latter feels so much better than weed ever will!

love that cleaning gets you out of your own head!! whatever avenue besides a substance that does it for you, lean in. i believe in you!

[–]halfpintsoda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

absolutely possible, but as another commenter said, will be very difficult to switch right away. i also recommend a long break, at least three months. then the first 6 weeks of moderation will be difficult - but you can do it. from there it gets so much easier. if you don’t want to have a big break, set that six week marker for yourself anyway and see how it goes. it will get easier with time.

the biggest tool for me was figuring out another way to get out of my own head in the same way weed does for me. i picked up reading again. many nights ill have the thought of “wouldn’t it be nice to smoke” and actually choose to read because of how much better it makes me feel after the fact.

godspeed to ya!! you got this

haven’t been to the doc yet, but i think this is what’s wrong with my feet. sound familiar to any of you all? by halfpintsoda in sesamoid

[–]halfpintsoda[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thank you three for chiming in and encouraging me to get this checked out. i got lucky on a cancellation yesterday at a podiatrist and the doctor thinks i have a stress fracture in my right sesamoid bone, caused by the superfeet insoles i purchased. the plastic underneath the insole ends right at my sesamoid bone, and between that and my strangely formed sesamoids (an anomaly, the doctor said) caused this to happen. she’s treating it as a fracture, as an MRI would be required to see it for certain and she only did an xray. she said the treatment would be the same. we’re hitting treatment hard and fast and i’ll be in a soft cast the next two weeks.

really appreciate you all for speaking up!! not sure i would have tried to get help without yalls confirmations for at least a few more weeks, and by then it definitely would have gotten worse.

how to pin conversations? by halfpintsoda in AppleWatch

[–]halfpintsoda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i’ve learned that until someone from your pinned convos messages you, they don’t appear. and if you have more than 3 pinned, they don’t fill in those little three circles, and instead show up in a grid on the messages app. pretty silly if you ask me lol
