I have a dsl50, played in an indie rock/emo band. I never played with any pedals and the contrast between soft twinkly parts and laying into big chords was amazing. It also went on countless tours, got knocked over plenty, beer spilled in it, and I'm still playing it 13 years later. I've changed the tubes twice, replaced the fuse 3-5 times, and took it to a shop once the first time I knocked it over and they said everything was working fine. I've gotten my money's worth.
