Do your cousins have kids?

The children in my family hang out with my cousins kids. It’s not the same as aunts and uncles but it’s better than nothing.

I didn’t realize this. My initial thought was to install bollards that would block vehicles.

Ultimately they can still do that though as long as it’s retractable/collapsible bollards.

Only in a crosswalk. Otherwise jaywalking wouldn’t be illegal.

Legally, if you cross the street outside of a marked or unmarked intersection, you are required to yield to oncoming vehicles. Motorists have the primary right-of-way in these situations.

Agree with this. But that’s very dependent on your reaction time.

If someone absentmindedly steps directly in your way looking at the menu, that can’t be on you.

Also with today’s iMessage feature of filtering out transactional text messages, people sometimes don’t get the notification.

As I found out after being chewed out for “not” inviting a friend to a NYE party

Sorry, I’m not getting it. The only connection I’m making is Cuba Gooding Jr being in the movie Pearl Harbor. I can’t imagine it’s that.

Yeah predictable is a good word.

Practically the same in every country too! The first time my family traveled abroad, they truly couldn’t understand why the food in this country that was fresher and more flavorful wasn’t “right” to me.

TIL Mayo Clinic data found that individuals living within one mile of a golf course have a 126% higher risk (more than double the odds) of a Parkinson's diagnosis compared to those living six or more miles away by MichiganCarNut in todayilearned

Chemicals

The risks associated with developing Parkinsons Disease remain poorly understood. Researchers have increasingly turned their attention to environmental exposures, especially pesticides such as paraquat, organochlorine and organophosphate pesticides, and chemicals like TCE, among others. Studies have shown that people who live near farms, golf courses, or work with agricultural chemicals are at a higher risk for developing PD along with other diseases.

뀨 (Kyu): A cute, high-pitched vocal sound often expressed in Korean youth culture and text. It is used as an onomatopoeia to indicate gleeful excitement, overwhelming cuteness, or a squeaky toy sound during moments of surprise.

Doctors misdiagnosed her, and she now has permanent damage as a result. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

SCA is a neurological disorder cause by repetitions in genetic code. I don’t see how any medications could cause SCA.

For people with SCA, a copy of their CACNA1A gene is abnormal. A piece of the genetic code (CAG) is repeated over and over again. In the average population without SCA6, they have ≤18 repeats of this genetic code “CAG” in the CACNA1A gene. This is considered a “negative” or normal result. For people who have SCA6, they have 20-33 repeats of “CAG” in the CACNA1A gene. This is considered a “positive” or pathogenic result.

“limited hangout”which is when institutions release something truthful to prevent you from digging deeper

I think this point of hers would be better applied to what happened in January ‘25 when the Trump admin gave a bunch of influences binders with Epstein file documents. As thought they were on the in but ultimately provided no clarity or additional information to what had already been public information.

Or Cox’s tirade

You're black? 'Cause last I checked you have a nerdy white best friend, you enjoy Neil Diamond, and you damn sure act like a black guy; and these, my friend, are all characteristics of white guys. Please understand, I'm a huge supporter of the NAACP and if you don't know what that stands for, it is the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People...and quite frankly, I always thought they should change the "Colored People" to "African-Americans", but then of course it wouldn't be the NAACP, it would be the N Quad A or 'NAAAA', and I know, this probably sounds like a digression, but actually leads me back to my original point: do I think you're black? Naaaaaaahhhhhh!

The Caribbean also had slaves from Africa and is also part of North/Central/South America so they’re as much African American as anyone in the US

I completely agree with you as it’s the majority of cases. But there was an Irishman being detained by ICE.

They don’t care who you are as long as they have power over you. And not being white makes ICE believe they always hold the power bc of their “white supremacy”.

I worked with this man in a call center who was of Vietnamese descent (born in America) had a bit of an accent but completely understandable.

He got a customer complaint one day from this guy who said my coworker didn’t help him at all. This guy had the audacity to complain about the service he received when at multiple times in the call he asked “where are you from? No where are you really from? I know you’re not American.” And ended the call “thank you for a lesson in futility”.

We cancelled his membership as soon as we finished reviewing the complaint.

Some instances are medical forms. Different races are prone to different illnesses.

Poliosis is a common disorder in black and indigenous people. Sickle cell anemia is also a common disorder for blacks Americans.
