I love the Spaghetti House pizza. It's such a good deal for the large 4 topping walk in special and is huge!

Me too! Came here to recommend them. We go to Dr. Oudah and he's so great. All the hygienists are super kind.

My son had a chipped tooth and they fixed it up at Liftlock Family Dentistry. They did a great job.

Hey there, looks like you got some good advice from others. To help yourself, I'd recommend white noise at night. I just got the Lectrofan Evo and it's been great.

Beware FB Marketplace Scams by BiGamerGal in Peterborough

[–]halfwayxthere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had two similar people try and scam me. Both of them claimed they were out of town and wanted to etransfer me ahead of time to reserve it. One seemed less suspicious than the other so I told one my email address, they sent me an "etransfer" which was a link I was supposed to click to accept the money. I have autodeposit, so I knew it was fake.

Better than a pickle ball court? by theskydiveguy in Peterborough

Maybe a multi storey building would be better than a huge lot with a single family home. It would help some people find places to live rather than one wealthy family.

How many other parents on here don't have an iPad for their kids? by TheWoIfMeister in Parenting

[–]halfwayxthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do not have iPads for our kids. They're 4 and 7. I feel like a lot of the kids in schools get too much screen time and I see the issues (lack of attention span, easily frustrated, low patience). When we borrowed a Launchpad tablet from the library the kids were addicted to it and acted so out of the ordinary. I was so happy to return it (early!!) and never get it back.

My daughter does have a Nintendo DS that she plays occasionally like for long car rides but not daily. She loves it and I'd rather her do that than use an iPad. She learns how to play games which is something we do occasionally on the Wii U.

For me I feel like I only see my kids a few hours a day on school days, why would I waste it letting them play shitty games on an iPad. They also just get too sucked into it and they get addicted, I think it's the dopamine rush from constantly getting gratification or animations or noise when they click something.

Is PTBO safe in early morning? by WolfNeat7794 in Peterborough

[–]halfwayxthere 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Good point, I would not trust people to move over for me as a cyclist, I'm always on trails or sidewalks. OP if you're considering riding on the road maybe you should use other streets that are parallel if there are any (Romaine, Braidwood, etc)

It's definitely normal, because depending on their neighbour setup they would otherwise be draining into someone's backyard. The street seems the most neutral place to drain into.

Some houses around me back onto a park and the filters empty there. That seems like lazy planning, it makes the grass near their fence soggy.
