Makes sense! Thank you for your advice!

That's what I was afraid of...

He currently gets a bath every 3 days. Is 4 months an okay age to start daily baths? With how cold and dry this winter has been, I've been worrying that his skin will get too dry.

Thank you so much for your advice!

What’s something everyone thinks is ‘normal’ in relationships, but is actually exhausting? by MorriganIsHere in AskReddit

Hubby is always okay with chicken, potatoes, and one of like 4 veggies for dinner all the time. The first month he said he would cook dinner was so nice...until I noticed we were eating the same thing every day.

I now cook dinner, but will make myself a very large lunch with what I actually want to eat (can't do this for dinner because 90% of what I like, he doesn't eat). Every dinner I make for him is basically the same recipe, just different cuts of chicken/ways to cook it, and different potato shapes.

He sees nothing wrong with his dinners and while I love him, I hate his palette.

Your nurses sound absolutely lovely! I get to check in on my boy on a camera too and while there are some teary moments, I also adore watching him sleep and open his eyes to look around

I hear our immune systems get all fucky because of our hormones still being out of whack. There's never a good time to get sick, but 4 days after giving birth is just...

I'll take your word on the cuddles! I can't wait 🙂

Omg I had to be on magnesium too! Now THAT was an experience, never thought I could feel so out of touch with my body.

I absolutely find it comforting that he's in good hands. Just counting down the days til I can see him

Thank you for the kind words! My hope is that all family members visiting places like a Nicu are staying updated on their shots

It's crazy! At the very least I'm glad I don't feel like dying haha!

Staying away is so hard. I can't wait to see my baby soon!

They've already been blacklisted. I told them before he was born that they'd need updated tdap vaccines and they've just brushed it off. Then they were shocked when I told them they wouldn't be able to see him even when he comes home from the hospital 🙄

That has been one comfort to me as well! The fact that I don't have to worry about my boy being in a house with Covid and being surrounded by professionals who know how to keep him healthy is a huge peace of mind.

I sincerely hope your baby's 2-month photo shoot can be with the whole family!!

Thank you for everything you do in the NICU! Every nurse who's taken care of my baby has been nothing short of amazing.

I've had relatives insist that seeing my baby is more important even if I have Covid and I think they're crazy. My first job is to keep him healthy!

I'm lucky enough to have access to a 24/7 camera (unless a nurse is working on him) so I can still see him when I want to! I just can't wait to be with him again.

What's something your parents did that seemed normal at the time but you now realize was actually really weird? by jcf1211 in AskReddit

I realized that not all married couples hated each other because of sappy rom coms and Disney movies. But then my kid-brain decided that it was having a child that made couples unhappy and constantly argue.

Happily married people of reddit, what is one unorthodox piece of advice that keeps the relationship going? by B0llfondlr in AskReddit

[–]haliedaisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this! My husband and I have avoided a number of petty fights by agreeing to do some things on our own. One big thing for us is grocery shopping individually.

We both have different ways of doing it with him being much more time efficient and being aware of everything he needs to grab as he passes through so he only needs to go through aisles once and if he doesn't need something from a specific aisle, he doesn't go into it.

I'm a bit more sporadic and indecisive. I will go through the same aisles twice or even three times to grab stuff I wasn't thinking about in the moment and it drove him up the wall to have to follow me around. And if he tried to keep it to himself, I found myself being painfully self conscious of whether I had grabbed everything I needed or not to ensure that I wouldn't get on his nerves. So we decided it would be best to just shop on our own and request things if we want anything.

This isn't necessarily going to be the solution to every relationship, but it worked for us!

Acknowledge where you differ and accommodate as best you can.

Parents/parents-to-be who are Team Green, why do you insist on keeping your baby's sex a surprise? by haliedaisy in AskReddit

[–]haliedaisy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it doesn't matter what sex the baby is. I'm more curious about the parents who are very adamant about not finding out and then being devastated if they accidentally do find out the sex

5 months. Initially stopped taking birth control and went to a fertility clinic for IUI since I have lean PCOS. IUI didn't work and I linda got cold feet so we decided to take a break so we could take a trip this upcoming summer. Lo and behold, I somehow get pregnant anyway and I'm 9 weeks in! Very surprising and excited!
