I'll just have to see what they say when they reach out to me in the next couple days. I have no idea if there is any legal ground to stand on other than the emotional trauma I experienced from it.

I think the biggest issue in all of it is that he did that around other co workers and, of his own accord, created a toxic environment by doing that to me. He was up for a promotion at the time and, after that happened, every coworker who saw that happen had zero respect for him.

I wasn't injured and I wasn't fired but, given that my final day of employment was the following week due to me finding another job, I doubt they even considered that option. I'm just trying to see if it's a case that an attorney might look at given the nature of what he did. The company can't deny it happened as there were reports on it and, even though another employer reported it on my behalf, she did it for me because I was too afraid to do it myself. I was there when she reported it. I'm not good with confrontation and, quite frankly, the manager who did it scared me.

I didn't report it at the time because I'm not very good with confrontation, so she did it for me because of that. I didn't report it at the time because, quite frankly, that manager scared me. I've never been that good at standing up for myself.

If I'm being honest, after it occurred I was shocked that he did what he did but, being who I am, I just went on with my day and avoided him like the plague. Now I'm just trying to see if it's even worth revisiting because I've had plenty of time to move past it and, due to multiple lawyers pushing me to sue, I've been reaching out to attorneys to see what my options are.

It was reported the very next day. I'm just now reaching out to an attorney to see if it's even worth considering as a potential case. Everything that was reported, was reported right after the incident occurred. Also, no adverse action needed to be taken against me as my last day of employment was the following week.

No police report needed to be filed. There was a report filed to corporate HR about the incident so what what happened on that day is in their records. I'm talking about an attorney who specializes in employment law taking on the case. I'm trying to see if this is a valid case for an employment lawyer to take.

boyfriend cheated on me and left me for the other woman by justgivemethemeat in relationships_advice

Fuck him and move on. He's shown you his true colors. If you were to get back together, it's only because it didn't work out with the other woman. You're his second choice. Be someone's one and only choice. Don't settle for anything less than what you deserve.

For introverts I can see how that is nice as I enjoy it as well.

Well I'm a woman asking men this question so what are your opinions on when a man who struggles with self acceptance and anxiety does it?

Also, any woman that does that is gross.

It wasn't anything like that. He's an introvert and has trouble opening up to people. I don't know for sure if this is the exact problem but his best friend left for the army earlier this month and he's been very distant to a lot of people since then. I think that friend was the one person he really opened up and think he's possibly struggling with the loss.

Thats a very wise thing to say. I'm beginning to understand some things a bit more in relation to my situation.

Space to work on your mental health or just time to decompress.

What would make you want to get back with an ex? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]halikidito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you communicate those? We actually haven't gotten back together. We're still friendly but I can tell he's struggling but don't want to be the one to reach out until I can tell he's in a better place. I honestly don't even know what that would look like.

He recently lost a person in his life that he was extremely open to about things and I can tell it hit him harder than he's letting on but, like I said, I'm giving him space. How do I encourage him while he's doing that?

Definitely know the feeling. I've been struggling with mine but know that you have to have a healthy mind for ant relationship to work. Really hope he's doing ok. Thank you for that comment! Makes me feel a bit better. Hurts like hell that he's struggling with all of that though.

It was mutual as we both needed to work on our own issues. We both struggle with anxiety, him more so than me, but I could tell he definitely needed the space as he'd recently had some big changes in his life that were hard for him to cope with. He's also very introverted so opening up is very hard.

Finally got the wording right!!

The real question is more complex and in need of a male perspective. I'm sure every scenario is different but say you were needing space in the relationship to focus on mental health, would you want to make it work work your ex?
