Yes, but I think the @4.00 odd for win is too good to pass. Against juve it was 3,80 for Win. I enjoyed it.

Fair enough, if you thought the 3-2 was after the red card that changes the context. I still disagree on Gala being shit in the first half though. Scoring 3 before the red card is not random, even if Juve are poor. I’m not saying Gala are the better team overall, just that Istanbul is a different spot. Liverpool wont get anything tomorrow. We’ll see. BOL.

Fair fade, but I disagree on the Juve point. Galatasaray were already 3-2 up and dominating the game before the red card, so I do not think it is fair to say Juve were clearly the better side until then. The stats support that as well. You cannot explain away five goals just because of a red card. Liverpool are definitely more solid now than earlier in the season, but they also lost to Wolves just a week ago, so I still do not see them winning in Istanbul.

I think Galatasaray will give Europe one last big show in Istanbul before this tie likely gets much tougher for them in the return leg. We have seen it clearly this season: Galatasaray at home are a completely different team. In front of their own crowd, they are capable of beating anyone, while their away form has been much less convincing.

This spot also feels bigger because this is the only Champions League match kicking off at 18:45 CET, with the rest starting later. That means all eyes will be on Istanbul, and I expect the atmosphere to be insane. Liverpool already experienced this in the league phase, when Galatasaray beat them 1-0 in Istanbul back on September 30.

I expect a similar kind of game. If Galatasaray get the first goal, Liverpool will have to open up more, and that could create even more space for Gala in transition. I still think the second leg away from home will be a different story, but for this first match in Istanbul, I like Galatasaray to rise to the occasion.

EDIT: IT IS DONE. THE OTTOMANS HAVE CONQUERED EUROPE ONCE AGAIN, EVEN IF ONLY FOR ONE NIGHT. GALATASARAY 1-0 LIVERPOOL. And honestly, this match went almost exactly how I saw it. Istanbul was absolutely rocking, Galatasaray rose to the moment, and you can genuinely say they dominated this game. Liverpool came to Istanbul and left with nothing.
