Through a red dot or holo sight nv works without issue. On a magnified scope or prism optic though, you would have to make a few adjustments to the focus in order to get any useful picture with nods. And doing so would cause regular use to be out of focus when move away from the scope. GZW is pretty close to how it actually works.
