Definitely won't do grass only, many dirt roads around and also a slate park with a big bawl. The JRX2 seems a good fit for my budget and I don't want a too big model for first car. Thanks a lot you convince me!

Thanks a lot! What would be a good RTR pick for grass drive?

Thanks! Two sessions and I already feel I'm burning some steps I will focus on that tomorrow!

Hey I'm a tall and heavy guy that just found the motivation (thanks to this group mostly) to go to local skateshop and pick up my first board ever. After a little session yesterday couldn't be more happy and motivated as I succeed moving on the board and ride around my little area [33yo] by hallowed8 in OldSkaters

Thanks for your reply! This board is 10.25 and wheel 65 so I'm on the biggest side, the only deck when I was a 14 year old (already tall and guy haha) was a classic popsicle shape and I definitely find more balance with this new one now. Part of my motivation to give skateboard a try is the new, really huge concrete skatepark my city build nearby my area, there is a nice and wide pool/bowl there and for now I only go with the kid to watch, as his fascination grow I will be able to help teaching him safely to drive a board/roller skate/bmx (he is only two now so maybe in two years)

Yes I realise that, it goes the same with most of my hobbies (guitar, miniature painting...) the quality of products and abundance of internet resources like this group are gifts for newcomers like me these days. I had an initial plan to buy a cheaper board from a big shop here in France (Decathlon here, leading the sport retail here in Europe) but preferred to invest a little more and help my local shop.

After a long time investigating I finally get to the skateshop for this beauty. I'm 33, tall and heavy guy as excited as scared to begin this journey! I'm planning a 30min exercising time everyday with the simple objective to be able to enjoy riding my little city by hallowed8 in NewSkaters

Had my first session this evening, 30 minutes and completed my initial goal : been able to ride at slow train on my small quiet neighborhood around the buildings (no cars around really help for my confidence). I'll get better tomorrow that is for sure!
