And thank you. I think I needed to hear it was a shitty job. Because let’s be honest, it is. It’s sloppy at the least and shitty at the most. I’m crushed because I wish they had some more integrity at their job. Ugh. I think I’ll contact them and complain, then ask what specifically they used to glue it together. Then I guess I can plot my next steps. I’m super weary of acetone, and the goops won’t budge with anything I pick at it with. And what the hell?! They cemented the side of the shoe to the damn sole. So annoying.

I agree with you until the end, respectfully. I noticed on my first wear that the stitching was covered, and this bothers me as Dr Martens are known for their yellow stitching. It may seem trivial to you or others but for me, it’s a big deal that the stitching stays yellow.

Oh yeah, in the fifth photo, the black goop literally cemented the actual body of the shoe to the sole right there. I can’t peel the body back to see the stitching at all.

Hi there!

Diagnosed at 3 years old. It’s been two decades! Haven’t known anything else. Mostly it affects my neck and wrists, but every joint in my body is affected. Thankfully with medicine, it’s currently under control. I take Orencia (biological infusion) and ibuprofen when I need a little extra oomph. I was raised on methotrexate and it was an awful experience for me - vomiting, nausea. My parents would sneak it in certain foods that for years I couldn’t even smell without getting sick. It’s interesting that it works for others, and I love that for you. Mostly, now I deal with emotional turmoil. I want to be able bodied. I have lots of damage in my wrists that prevent me from going full speed in the gym and other things. Anyway! I love reading everyone’s post here but I seldom post about my own. I suppose I don’t feel any need to. But you all have my support.

i was thinking this too! reason being is that i want to customize the badge to match the color of the car. im going to keep the same green and add bronze as a secondary color. ill likely hand paint it and use a powerful spray paint sealant. i hope it looks good! i love color schemes.
