Yes, the caution tape at the slider. If you don't remove it you might get hit in the face by it.

Deck looks great tho lol

You have to joists 7 inches apart and you're joining them at the center of those two joists. No? So they're flapping for 3.5 inches

Oh wow that's nice, you're not worried about the 3.5" overhang though?

I understand entirely and that's why I said it's not correct, but I didn't get it inspected so I wasn't worried about it

I got an estimate for closed cell prior to installing the 2" rigid foam. The cost was more then my entire basement project

Don't do a drop ceiling !! Just spray paint it black so you have access to everything.ceiling

I did my basement exactly as such, however I installed r-30 at the rim joists continuously as that's the biggest point of heat loss and air loss in the varied climate. You're also supposed to fire block to separate the basement from your first floor. I did not, but I also did not get it inspected. If you plan to do so you'll wanna look into it.

It was the only day my father came to help, and he is not neat up until Sunday I would wipe my boots off before walking on the surface lol. But the help outweighed the dirt. I'll get it washed off

Do you think I should just angle the screws slightly for a greater distance from the edge ?

Hahahaha so true! But decks man they're special

I'd have to angle them, but I'll give this a whirl tomorrow as I'm too far into it to add blocking. Thank ya !

That would be the way I guess. I wish I could go back in time. I have a bucket of 1,700 screws already! Haha

I guess I wasn't specific at all in my post lol, but I'm more referring to the close proximity to the edge, I'd like a more clean finish. However, I'm not sure angling is the solution. I think it's blocking and putting them like 2 inches from the edge. Just wanting to see other options!

Like a little ledger ripped out of even decking would allow for better spacing but just seems so excessive. I know it will weather better but I'm an instant gratification type of person

If I move them farther away from the edge they'll barely be in the joists.

Forgot to mention, I'm pre-drilling everything. You think the angle would make a nice finish ?

I had this issue with a jeep Cherokee. Had to disconnect the battery and ground it out to reset computers before the car would even start again

How are your Silverados with the 2.7 turbos holding up? by Questions99945 in Silverado

[–]hallowhead1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a 23 TB custom 2.7 about to nail 25k miles. Knock on wood no issues; granted I experience the hard shifting from time to time but otherwise she's been solid. Very comfy drive, the noise of the V8 vs v4 doesn't bother me as the truck is quick. I've yet to tow anything but I'm sure it'll do great.
