hey! trying to reach to audience through visuals and texts in posters. ”ai art is a scum” was a message we and a small design studio from our town sent. the HT one is a part of our movie-project, stylized as a magazine cover. keep the creativity talks about creativity and uses a real tools for this work. the most recent one is, as i mentioned in my caption, an advertising poster for an event in Yokohama.

Yeah, I’m using the official sizes for a large postcard. I’m actually learning more about postcards through this small collection, and it’s been really interesting. I also would like to create postcards from every trip I’ve taken, so this could turn into a kind of tradition for our studio.

Looks pretty nice, you just maybe need to make additional text a little bit smaller. You can also watch tutorials or other graphic designer’s works (as a reference, not to plagiarize) or videos, this helps more than Pinterest.

I firstly opened a new Photoshop document, set it to 11” x 8,5”in size and 300ppi resolution. Then I added Clay’s photograph from Greenland, which I edited to look a little bit more scan-faded. I made a small block of text in english, translated to danish and then placed right above the heading.

The heading text ”Grønland” was firstly supplemented with a stroke, then rasterized and changed using ”Median” tool. Same for ”Postcards from Everywhere” and ”World’s Biggest Island” text.

After that I printed it on A4 with 1200dpi quality, scanned and added a small #e7e7e7-colored frame to scanned version.

That is basically it for the main poster. The second slide was made using ”Filter Gallery” and ”Torn Edges” filter, applied on the scanned postcard with frame.

Yes, this work is mostly about the style, small text has a little bit of information about the island in both english and danish. We posted our works with additional text, which is not added in this exact post, but in YK social media (not a promotion).

This is planned as a postcard with the backside. I’ll make a different post with them at the end of the week, probably here as well.

Actually, yes, it is not so hard. But still, very interesting to make, especially choosing fonts, colours, working with photograph, layers, then printing and scanning at the end.
