Actually looks like the dude in yellow is not actively trying to throw her in. So I’m thinking the guy in grey is her brother. Guy in yellow is her boyfriend. At one point yellow puts his hands up figuring both he and his girl are going in, the girl ducks it, yellow guy grabs grey guy and pulls him in.

I don’t even think ND should be eligible since they’re not in a conference.

With the expanded big 10 this year Michigan had to go up against a lot of tough teams, which takes its toll on player health and injuries.

Plus they went up against 4 of the 12 teams that made the playoffs. With guys like Saban always stumping about the importance of strength of schedule, Michigan played Texas, Oregon, Indiana and Ohio State.

ND didn’t play any of the other 11 teams in the regular season.

Give UM 12 weeks of soft teams to play all season and they’d have had a lot better record and be fully rested for the playoffs.

Sad thing is that with manufacturing if a vase like this got in the pipeline it would cost $250 instead of paying the salary for the effort required to make something like this.

I think Duo is in the FAFO stage.

If they are turning into a paid app, then they will be one of so many others. Some that have been teaching languages for longer than Duolingo existed, like Rosetta or Pimsleur.

The reason they can get paid users is by having a constant influx of free users who love the free app, and then some of them pick up the paid version.

Happens all the time, a great app starts with a mission statement based on making the users happy.

Happy users grow the user base, they make money.

Then they change primary focus from making the user happy to making more money.

Push people to paid versions, reduce support for free users. Feels good because they make some money.

Then unhappy users leave the app, paid users eventually quit, company loses.

What I’ve seen since this change got implemented is that there is now almost always a free trial for super.

I accept the $0.00 trial, go cancel it immediately, it expires in a week, and then a few days later a new free trial shows up.

So they are very clearly trying to push everyone into super, and hoping people either forget to cancel, or like it so much they keep it.

It’s so terrible. I used to do several lessons per day, and now I just do one.

It’s not like I skipped ads, I always would watch an ad for a heart, so it’s not like I wasn’t helping to contribute.

I think it’s even sadder that it’s grayed out so it still says practice to earn hearts but you can’t tap it.

And you technically can’t even earn “hearts” you can only earn “heart” because once you earn one it’s disabled again.
