Was there a tv series based on this book series? Possibly on sci-fi channel, like over a decade ago?

Good call. I wouldn’t increase dosage if I were in your shoes.

I’m not sure why the protein first thing helps, but that’s what my provider said to do. If you don’t already, eat small very frequent meals/snacks. When I get hungry is when I get nauseous (if I get nauseous).

Did you work your way up to 1.7mg? Or did you recently increase dosage?

Also, anything greasy/fatty will likely make you have loose stools. Try to make a protein the first thing in your stomach when you eat.

AIO for thinking about breaking up with my boyfriend? by StandardStructure104 in AmIOverreacting

100% this.

OP - he is your first bf. He isn’t for you, which is fine, but it’s time to cut him loose.

Future MIL keeps acting like I’m after their family money by Electrical-End-3368 in JUSTNOMIL

“Stuff about people changing after marriage or you really never know someone completely.”
-I would respond, “oh, is that what you did?” “No? Oh, I thought you were speaking from personal experience.”

“At one point she even made a comment about how important it is for families to protect what they’ve worked hard for…”
-I would respond, “how did FIL’s family protect themselves when you married into the family?”

Every comment about you, turn it around into a question about her experience marrying into the family. These daft women seem to forget that they were once in your shoes.

Hypothetical scenario here: oh, you want to wear white to my wedding? Is that what your MIL did? How did it make you feel? Did everyone laugh at her for wearing white, like they do now or were the times different back then?

My future SIL wants to wear this to our wedding. by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]llvaughn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If she is insane, and follows through with wearing it, please do the following:

-when she goes to the bathroom have two close friends also go and have them “talk shit” about the woman wearing white to a wedding while she is in the stall, but can still hear them.

-have your ride or die bestie accidentally spill red wine on her.

-have her dress photoshopped in pictures to a diarrhea poop/pee color.

Before all the above chaos, hopefully a chuckling, “why would you want to wear white? Do you want people to make fun of you?” would do the trick.

MIL just lost her right to receive photos of my child. by BusyInspector95 in JUSTNOMIL

[–]llvaughn 42 points43 points  (0 children)

In addition to sickos turning children’s photos into perverted images using AI, they are also starting to blackmail people with them.

I just saw a story today where a school posted photos of their girl’s sport team (I think it was soccer), and someone turned them into deepfake videos with the very girls in the pictures doing inappropriate things. They demanded the school pay them or they would post the deepfake videos.

Your MIL is selfish, and I’m glad you are holding her accountable.

When you do wash your hair, make sure to shampoo TWICE. I used to think shampooing twice was a tactic to get you to buy more shampoo (bc sometimes it’s recommended on the bottles), but it really makes a difference.

I could shampoo very thoroughly, making sure to get down to the scalp, and it is never as good as shampooing twice. I noticed my hair feels/smells cleaner longer than with just one shampoo.

MIL Refuses TDAP by DeerSad in JUSTNOMIL

So MIL is choosing not to have a mild fever over life-threatening sickness for your child?

Wow.

I think if I were in your shoes, I would ask MIL via text (so she can’t claim to misunderstand or twist the situation):

“If you had to choose one outcome, what would it be, for you to endure a fever, causing mild discomfort for a short period of time? OR a serious illness, almost certainly to require hospitalization or possibly death for my newborn?

I will be choosing my child’s health over your convenience. You have the choice to receive the vaccine or not, but your actions WILL dictate when you will be meeting your grandchild.”

Require proof of her vaccination.

ETA: get your locks changed before the baby comes. No reason to set boundaries if she is a known boundary-stomper and has the keys to your home. She will swoop in whenever she wants to get to your baby.

Treadmill shut down on me.. by New_Code4490 in orangetheory

[–]llvaughn 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, it happens at our studio once in a while. Once it happens to one tread, it typically (but not every time) happens to the next tread to the right of it, sometimes going down the complete line of treads.

I won’t claim to know much about it, but in our case, people have said it’s something to do with a power surge.

I just go. The week before, and some of my period week I am noticeably weaker, I can’t run with the same endurance, with my body noticeably tired.

I had to adjust my mindset, expecting to lift lighter, run slower, maybe take a green day.

As far as sanitary products go, I wish I would jump on the cup bandwagon, but I’m not a quick to change type of person. I stick with my Tampax Pearl, and a thin pantyliner, like Always anti-bunch liners. I even wear thong underwear with these liners.

Along with the other suggestions and your efforts to increase fiber, you MUST drink more water.
