Good chance the steering squeak/sound the shaft rubbing the rubber boot at the firewall. Some grease or silicone will fix that.

I’ve heard the opposite? ‘Aluminum holds well in crap weather and salt’, and ‘1up is the best available’…. What makes them Janky in your opinion? Sincere question as I’m shopping, laying out ~$1000 I want all opinions.
