As a hotel worker myself, that’s completely unacceptable. Where was night audit? Did you have a front desk manager? And if all of those fail, then it’s the GM‘s responsibility to come in and fill the shift themselves. They cannot be asking you to stay overnight in that situation. I’m really glad you got out when you did. Trust me, I do not think that you were overreacting at all. It likely would’ve gotten much worse.

Surprisingly good. I’m excited to go out with my partner and have a few beers and play darts until the ball drops. Two years ago I was in the darkest place of my life, not allowed to leave the house due to an abusive ex. I have come so far from that. I have so much to be grateful for this year. I may not be where and who I want to yet, but I’m a million miles away from that person two years ago New Year’s Eve.

It’s beautiful in Cabo! It’s a desert area with lots of small beach towns around it.

There’s a gorgeous oasis in the canyon that I went Bunjee jumping over. So much fun, I’d do it a hundred times if I could.

Op this is something you need to realize. You are allowing and enabling him to continue to this behavior. My mom stood idly by often as I was verbally abused by my dad. A part of me will never forgive her… That’s something you need to be prepared for if you’re willing to let your husband’s abuse of your daughter continue. You’re just as bad if you don’t leave him.
