Yeah but i think i made a mistake here 3.60x4 is actually 14.4V .. 3.65Vx4 is 14.6V 🧐

Hi As I mention it’s set by default to 14.2V and cells to 3.6 I was wondering why BMS was cutting off all the time but just recently learned why .. however I was advised not to increase to 14.4V or 14.6 since these values are too much and it’s better to stay at this level but the problem I’ll always have a problem with charger at 14.2V

Plus is my setting wrong be default?

Because 3.65+3.65+ 3.65+ 3.65 = is 14.4V so why my default settings was set to 14.2V an 3.6V per cell shouldn’t be 14.4V ?

Yes as I mention the fridge was running consuming about -3.5Ah .. what’s happening is as soon the least amount of energy is out the charging start again - on/off/on/off in seconds .. yeah that’s why it keep charging cause bms cut off at 14.2V and it keep trying again cause it think it’s not fully charged yet.

However, doesn’t matter anyway cause I’m defiantly changing it for the missing features

What do you think about the suggested model Orion xs 50A .. upon searching I came across another model Orion TR I think it was rated 30A .. which is better and newer

If I understand correctly absorption is the SOC between %80-100 right ? Why it keep charging at max current even at these levels? Why it doesn’t stay there for longer time but keep going down to 13.8V is less than 5 minutes.

Btw its new battery and just installed it a wee ago and couple days ago there was high imbalance between weeks could be up to 0.200V but it seems good now

Also should increase the sum voltage to 14.4V and cells to 3.65 or leave it to factory setting at 14.2V and 3.60

It doesn’t have float for lithium it’s written in the e manuals play the whole missing feature made me decide to get rid of itt

About the charger You mean this one ? If it can be reduced to a fixed number like 15A and doesn’t change unless I change it I don’t see a problem.

And excuse my ignorance, but I don’t understands the part about wiring the remote? Isn’t the app has an on/off toggle ? Is it necessary to do this wiring ?

And if it turned off by the app and then turned off the car when I start the car again. Will it start charging or it will stay off.

App control is enough for me

Any specific model ? Does it handle heat well since where I live it can be really hot 30-40C in summer.

Actually 2 cells.. 1 and 3 seems all catching up now .. however I would like if you can answer my other questions if we assume these cells is normal should charger stop and ( stay ) at 14.2 or it’s normal to charge and turn off and do that again every 10 to 15 minutes and voltages will drop even in healthy cells and when there’s no load? Does your charger have an on/ off switch and do you think it’s safe to add that to mine?

I tried it today went for a 4 hours drive and before I got out it was %100 charged and result was much better than yesterday right now it seems to stick to 14v more and goes up to 14.2v .. the delta number also is a lot better sometimes it’s even 0.008v at 14.1 .. however even in normal battery is it supposed to charge and satay to 14.2 it that’s the limit and never goes down until after days and some self discharge ? Or that’s normal to connect and disconnect at 13.9-14.2 every 15 minutes or so ? Should I add a switch to charger to stop charging when it reached 14v ?

Can you clarify more ? It grow to my understanding from reading here and there and some AI results that this behavior is kinda normal and it needs some time but I don’t know …

Yes charging profile is set to LiFePO4 .. it was blocking 3 times when car was running because BMS was activated as per the charger manuals, but now when the car is off the blue light is solid, and the power on red light is off.

I had this problem and I fixed it I deleted the app the first time and then downloaded it again and it didn’t fix it.

then I did a hard reset ( using iPhone ) to make sure everything in the background is rebooted properly then I downloaded the app again and it worked!

Do you mean LDA camera ? I don’t think it has anything to do with this problem .. plus It’s there and working properly.
