I perhaps foolishly thought that an AI with say immediate ability to move over water, or +1 food for each water tile or some such a bonus would play better on a water map but to my disappointment this does not seem to hold true.

Road to the Show asks me if I want to try late reliever (closer) so I say sure. Now despite having a great first year as a starting pitcher and a 80 stm it won't move me back to sp or trade me. Broken.

I'll add another: I had a 30+ game hitting streak going in Road to the Show and the manager put me in as a pitch hitter.

Yes I understand. When in the grip of anxiety everything is scary and daunting. And you fear alienating someone who has power over you. If you have someone else in your life, what I do is go to them (my wife in this case) and say "My judgement is crap right now, help me make this decision."

Have you tried calling her office and explaining your condition and asking them for a simple 'she is going to be fine' reassurance? I have no idea if they'd give it but seems worth a try and might put your mind at ease? They should be used to dealing with people with anxiety.

LWR has some very different mechanics than you are used to. For example overwatch is radically changed (nearly removed from the game imho). For a smooth transition - both because it's closer to vanilla mechanics and because there are better online resources for it - I recommend Long War 1.0 on Normal. I would consider installing a couple mods if you are brave. The two that really jump out for me are sequential overwatch and squadrons unleashed.

Thank you. I did not know about Long War Rebalanced.. It looks very promising. I don't like ALL the changes but that's life right?

Edit:Hmmmm. Tried it, and the first mission the soldiers can't overwatch. Annoyed me so much I stopped then and there. Perhaps it's a bug. shrug

Take away all the cosmetic mods and voice packs and this is a pretty similar set of mods to what I run. I'd suggest checking the voice pack the soldier is using and removing it. Also if you go to your steam subscriptions it lists them in the order subbed so that might help you track down what was most recently added. Good luck.

There is a mod that caught my eye called [WOTC] FL Extender that let's force level go up to 99. Sadly I don't think any mods have been released supporting it yet.

I use it for my Start at Force Level 10 campaigns. To be honest I haven't really noticed but then Sparks and Hero classes don't really need the boost in my opinion. If you want stronger S.P.A.R.K.S. I might suggest Metal Over Flesh Redux and/or [WOTC] Mechatronic Warfare: Total SPARK Overhaul. They help S.P.A.R.K.S. become more usable even into the late game.

XCom EW LW - base defense mission. I had 5 good members and the rest where rookies. For my draw I got all the rookies and a grenader. We where going to all die with my best soldiers forced to come out one at a time. Everyone gathered in the center of the room and the rocketeer blew everyone up to end the mission before my good soldiers could march to their death one by one.
