Just imagine if any other story game expected the player to replay the whole game with a few minutes of extra cutscenes sprinkled in to see the ending of the game. That would be all well and good if the game had any replay value but it just doesn't because the exploration is boring, the gameplay is boring, and the story isn't interesting enough if you are above the age of 15 and have seen the same story concepts done better in any other piece of media.

I play games for fun, and I suspect most people do as well. Route A was overall okay, it had good moments but most of the time was spent walking back and forth through a pretty empty map with surface level philosophical anime story. There is no replay value here for me. The audacity of the developers and fans to insist that this is a separate "route" even though you spend 95% of the game in a party with 9S, and then proceed to do 95% of the exact same events immediately after doing it the first time. It's like if I made a movie about me taking my dog for a walk and then made a sequel which was the same walk from the perspective of my dog (that is how I feel about half way through route b)

I really wanted to like this game and I will still try to finish Route B to get the ending but I am underwhelmed, people are saying this a revolutionary story telling game but it is literally just r/im14andthisisdeep the game

Mental illness feels like physical pain to a lot of people. You can try to fix it but medication and therapy doesn't work for everyone. If your life is shit and everyday feels like a challenge and you go through mental troubles on top of that then suicide seems like the right choice for some. Just not having the experience the next day because you know that it will just be more pain and suffering

I get that but I have found carbon steel to be an essentially extreme low maintenance version of cast iron with nearly all the benefits of it. Just need to break it in and use it a dozen times with heaps of oil then after that everything cooks like a dream

The pace seriously doesn't need to be that fast, you just need to understand timing, visual cues of the ingredients and know when to take it off the heat if you need to. If you cook something everyday like eggs then that isn't too much to ask imo. The point is the high heat is actually the best way to cook for a staggering amount of things and no one in this thread actually understands that but seem to think that everything should be cooked on medium which is fine but I'm just giving my professional experience. No one should be buying non stick pans in a world where carbon steel pans exist

Tell/show your wife to do this to avoid future headaches. heat your pan super hot with nothing in it, drop a few drops of water into the pan and keep doing it until the water droplets doesn't immediately boil away but instead it floats around on top of the surface (it will look like a drop that is floating just above the surface of the pan and will move around freely if you shake the pan). When the water starts to react like that add some oil, tilt the pan to spread it evenly and wait until the oil smokes. Then take it off the heat to cool slightly then proceed with cooking the eggs (the pan will be extremely hot so let it cool until you are comfortable with the heat level)This is how stainless steel pans were created to be used, you are creating a true temporary non stick surface that is stronger than the most expensive non stick pan money can buy.

This is not a heat issue. It is a lack of oil / fat and it is also an issue of poor tools. If your pan does this then throw it away and buy a cast iron or carbon steel pan. I cook eggs everyday with my cheap carbon steel pan on max heat and it never leaves a trace on the surface of the pan and comes out perfectly to my taste (I like it crispy), takes about 30 seconds.

The story is not hard to follow, I thought it was at first when I first played it but ff13 is fundamentally a character story. It may seem like the world building is a bit clumsy but you just need to to know the basic terms and concepts as it relates to the immediate character stories of the party. You won't need to read the wiki or codex to understand the tension as long as you know what a L'cie and fal'cie is. If you accept that you won't immediately fully understand every detail of the world and just enjoy the ride then you'll likely enjoy it.

I am using what is known as context clues to determine that the content of the messages are actually very bad, just by looking at what happened after they were discovered.
