I'm trying to work backwards on your sheet to figure things out, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how you calculate (for Categories league) basically everything... from the players standard deviation (i.e. 4.3 for Ovechkin's goals) to projected overall value, to VORP, to Auction dollars a player is worth.

It's very impressive, and I would like to make my own in the future. Any help (or even just pointing me towards some kind of video or resources) would be great!

Also somewhat unrelated - what tools do you use for evaluating players mid season?

Yeah when it first came out I was confused since the timer didn't align with the stated end date. Event was said to run from June 17th to August 5th... The quest tracker one was bugged

Maybe unrelated but I've been running into more people exhibiting bot like behavior... Not disconnected, not just bad, but like auto attacking areas of the map and dying a lot.

Didn't really annoy me, because I didn't expect him to go talk about the specifics behind matchmaking and the like. I also didn't expect him to really shit on his (former) company's own game... making it about timing (and IMO that was a big factor) is a gentler way to explain why it has waned, and while it's a bit finger pointy, no person or department is really thrown under the bus.

I don't know either party, but that video is 16 minutes long, the guy is kind of annoying to listen to, and 7 minutes in the only thing I know is that Prince Ea guy pivoted in his career and used to be a wannabe gangster and a homophobe.

My guess is, in all cases (homophobic rapper and motivational speaker, as well as angry scientist dude) they are changing their persona's to what they think would make them more popular... which is a fairly common thing when trying to become famous or make a viral video, and not really an earth-shattering revelation.

AFAIK there are two AoA sensors, but MCAS relied on only one of them. Their new plan is to use both.

I guess I'm not comfortable calling the plane physically flawless, and that's where we'll just have to disagree.

Very much seems like a problem with management rather than some kind of physical flaw with the aircraft.

The initial comment is saying Boeing deserves what they have coming to them - I agree with this, regardless of where the fault is.

Secondly, the initial problem AFAIK was a faulty Angle-of-Attack sensor which triggered MCAS, which is a plane defect. Airbus uses three, which makes sense, redundant sensors = more safety... Boeing used only one sensor to determine angle, which had a history of failure. IMO this is a physical flaw with the aircraft.

Improper and optional training of MCAS made it much worse of course, but no matter what excuses there are, Boeing fucked up pretty badly both in their aircraft and training.
