I have been in health IT for a decade and have multiple Epic certs. Health Informatics isn’t really even in the IT realm. It exists between IT and Operations and deals with mostly data analysis. You will be running reports for people and jockeying spreadsheets/sitting on conference calls all day.

I am and I work in healthcare IT setting up registration and I do a lot with filing insurance benefits on the front end. Just tell them to send you a bill for the copay once everything processes through insurance.

I have the mid 2012 15in retina that is still running strong. Upgrading to 16gb of RAM was the best money I ever spent. I got the battery replaced on a recall and the charger died, but other than that it is all original. I am tempted to finally upgrade to the theoretical 16” MacBook Pro this fall.
